When you develope a relationship w/God, he leads and directs you. When you have problems or you're asking him a question, alot of times HE answer you w/giving you a scripture, or telling you to go look a scripture up, thats how you know it's true. The bible is a guidline to live by, it's a map to how to live your life. And it works!!

I can safely say that this is not always true. Yes, from personal experience.

Maybe God only talks to certain people. "Special" people.

How do you know it is GOD talking to you, and not Satan? Or delusions?

It's just like a married couple, if they only talked to each other every Sunday, but no other day, how good do you thk their relationship would be?? Not very good. As in all relationships, it's a daily walk, you've got to take the time to get to know eachother. With God, talking praying, reading the bible, attending church being w/other believers strengthens your relationship with him. If you have questions, you don't understand something He will answer you, sometimes he directly tells you and gives you scriptures, sometimes its thru your sunday school teacher or preacher (they will be up there teaching or preaching and out comes the answer, when you never ever told them), it could be thru a friend or a complete stranger, but he does answer you. It may not be anwered the way you think it shld be, but HE answers.
Kinda like the guy that was drowning in the ocean and he kept praying God save me, so God sent him a boat, the boat comes and the guy says Nooo God is going to save me, the boat leaves, the guy is still praying "God save me" God sends another boat, the guy tells him the same thing.....God will be there for you, it may not be the way you are thinking it shld be done, but it will be done.

I believe that there could possibly be some truth in the bible.
I do believe that a man named Jesus existed, I mean... why else would he be remembered...

However... I do NOT believe that he was the son of god...

The sheep thing made a lot more sense 2000 years ago, when shephards would spend their whole lives caring for a single flock. Their sheep would only respond to their voice alone. Hence the sheep metaphor refers to absolute trust in God....

Carnival Junkie> Actually… There is NO archeological evidence to support Jesus ever existed. There are no contemporary texts by Roman or Greek scholars to back up the Christian claim that a Messiah walked the Earth 2000 years ago. The Bibles books on him messes up dates and officials as well.
There have been many stories about fictional characters throughout the ages. Just because some of them still exist doesn’t mean the fictional characters ever existed.
