The Bible

Actually, it is not that simple to explain to someone who already closes his mind to the words of God. I have already quoted in colors something about attaining the "knowledge of truth".

...if you accept my words ... cry aloud to heaven for understanding ... look for it as silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God

Proverbs 2:1, 3, 4-5

Yes, actually I've read a lot of the Bible. And upon further review of that book, I can honestly tell you Mein Kampf is a better read. Atleast it's real.

The Bible does nothing but tell you fairy tales, created in order for you to have faith in a God that no one can prove exsists.

Worst yet, it tries to frighten you by telling you that if you do things that "God sees as wrong" then you'll spend the rest of eternity in Hell. OK, and I thought I was the one with the drug problem. 🙄

My turn to ask you a question now...

What religion are you? and when did you decide to follow this religion? at what age?

Christian but not offiliated with a church i practice on my own. I was Baptized as a Catholic but grew up in a protestant home. I worship on my own accord with no influence from anyone.

... everything in the Bible happened.
Considering how the bible have "borrowed" stories from other mythologies it has no credibility at all
Actually, it is not that simple to explain to someone who already closes his mind to the words of God.
Look at it this way: Their minds aint closed toward the words, they just keep an open mind to other possible alternatives rather than being one track minded toward a book full of writings of vague origin.

oh yeah that explain it all 🙄 🙄 Howl toward heaven, if you can find it, like a wolf howl for the moon.

😂 "blinds" ... no2 tsk.tsk.tsk. 🙄

😛 i'm sorry if that's how you understand the passage.

vain human knowledge ... 🙄

The Bible is about as real as Cat and the Hat

..and as everything as how you can comprehend it with your own knowledge...🙄

knowledge enough to know BS when I read or hear it

oh now now, finti! Jury is right

read that text and interpretate it in a way it is always right 😛

😖hifty:

Well, I just thank God I am one of His chosen ones...
...and have come to the "knowledge of truth"...
...not just the human wisdom. 🙂

I'm just very much thankful that I am not the same as many people around the world... for ...

The way these people live is leading them to destruction. They don't serve God. Those people live only to please themselves. ... They think only earthly things.
Philippians 3:19

The way these people live is leading them to destruction. They don't serve God. Those people live only to please themselves. ... They think only earthly things
keep on dreaming

😱 it's true!!! i'm not dreaming, you know that!
😂 i know why you said that ... 'coz it's not itching to hear, right? 🙄
🤣 oh, don't worry finti... i'll pray for your soul. 😛

funny how around 90% of the worldpopulation thinks they are unique

actually after 9 years of christianity in school everything about christinity and the bible just amuses me. And thats all it does

oh and with the coloured text and stuff, blue is kind of hard to see if you have a black background, use red at least that stands out more.

oh, did i mean uniqueness? 😬 no2 tsk.tsk.tsk

The Bible...to the faithful, is perfect in every way as to them it is the "words of God" which if unsanctified would not be included in this book.

Even although - as has been said before - the books of the Bible are really only - to me also - a mish-mash of unconnected fables and flawed interpretations; to one of the faithful they are all correct and perfect.

When a person who has faith starts to lose that faith he or she will then start to look at the Bible with different eyes because THEN they will see the flaws and the contradictions and the outright lies that are contained therein.

When a person like me - who was born into bigotted Protestantism in Northern Ireland - stops and examines the religion thing with a clear vison that is not clouded by doctrine and dogma, I think that that person cannot fail to lose all faith in the promises of religion and must subsequently become either agnostic or athiest if that examination is carried through to it's ultimate end.

*sighs*

im not unique . just another mindless drone walking around clueless......
