Anything that isn't in the same category is pretty much a contradiction in a more complex way of thinking. To add on, they hardly share any similarities at all and contradiction is mostly about sharing similarities and opposing them simultaneously. In a way, you can't really compare science and religion because they are two totally different subjects. It's like saying shoelaces contradict paper.......
If I'm wrong, I want to hear your critique on this...=]

Actually, this is a VERY OBVIOUS question once you think about it more throughly

what the f*ck was I thinking.....=[
it DOES contradict The Bible.
off the top of my head.........a couple big contradictions........
Old Testament (Torah)
- A bush can not be on fire without burning
New Testament
- Human beings are more dense than water. Therefore it is impossible for a human being to walk on water. The closest we can come is to float on the surface by taking air into our lungs and holding our breath.
- It is impossible for a man to turn water into wine. Wine is produced by the fermenting of a beverage made from a fruit. As the sugar ferments it turns into alcohol. Water does not contain sugar, therefore impossible.
seriously...............dumb thread.
Of course science and their advocators will tell you that the bible is contradictory. The bible tells countless stories of paranormal phenomena. And of course is going to be rejected by anyone with the mind of scientiest. Only physical proof is all they ask. And many take parapsychology as a joke. Next time a science advocator tells you to keep an open mind ask them about parapsychology...most likely they'll laugh.
scirnse does not condradict the bible at all the bible actually mentioned certain things about science before they had even been discovered

Thank you, WindDancer, for being the only one in this thread who has posted anything worth reading.
Hah, hah 😛
Science and religion will always contradict each other. Science relies on evidence while religion relies on faith, therefore they never can agree.

Such things at ''man was created from dirt'' and ''people lived for 900 years'' as well as a son being 2 years older than a father are not phenomenons - they are down right inconsistent ramblings of random people who got hold of the bible, changed it about through ages and now claim is a word of ther god.

The Bible is proclaimed as 'inspired' by the Word of God, it was still written by man who is falliable. That explains ALOT
Yes alot of the stories are meant as metaphor.. which also explains ALOT
And Lana you are dead on.. Science and Faith at this point seem to be mutually exclusive so it is an individual as to what one believes.
HOWEVER.. I dont believe that all of the scientific rationales used to date and/or explain ancient events are accurate and thats how it all makes sense to me. Bring on the flames cause I know that this last part is gonna do it!!
the original Hebrew bible was actually a whole lot thinner then the bible we have today because they had a different writting system in current english To write JESUS we use 5 symbols J E S U and S
in Hebrew they only use two to three wich i unfortunantly cant Show you
however it is one symbol for J and E and one to two depending on the form you use for S U and S
