I mean he talks about buildings collapsing as well I think, so maybe the 9/11 incident might be that. I don't know though, it is hard to decipher
There was a time when people assumed that that was a reference to the destruction of the second temple.
Moral: When a book is nothing but metaphores, with no key for interpretation, it can be made to mean anything you want.

It doesn't say anything about building per say, but it says rock the foundations of the world that it will wobble, and mountains moving out of place.
here are some things i've herd about revelations:
7candle sticks=seven churches, basically the house of israel, or followers. well, i need the print out on more of it, i'll get back to you
but as for the book of revelations being really scarry it is, but it is a message of hope to all those who have faith that god can save them, it is there to warn you about what will happen, why you should be faithfull, and why if you are good will come to you no matter the problems in the world.
revelations chapter 21. verses 3-5
And i heard a great voice out of heaven syaing, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithfull.
and as for knowing if these things are really happening now, we won't really know for sure, because they tell of the time of jesus's coming, and that no man noweth but God only.

😂 and where do their opinions come from if they know nothing about a certain thing?
Most of these people, you speak of, or followers. Someone has given them ideas, and because they have no depth to their own opinion, they take on these new ideas as if they were their own. They live in a life of delusion, constantly giving their power to others because they do not believe that their intellect is of any value. We see our own faults too clearly. It is like a person looking through a broken window. Some people can see through the cracks, but these people can only see that the window is broken.

Now I haven't got the time or the patience to read all of Revelation so can some one give me a quick break down of it?
The more popular view, is that an Antichrist will come out of some middle eastern country and introduce a 7 year peace treaty to end the problems with the Jews. It will be a 7 year treaty. It will be broken after 3 1/2 years. The Jews and the Christian will be persecuted at this time...The Jews will be allowed to start their sacrifices in their temple again(problem is there is no temple now), but will cease it. This is thought to be a time of judgement on humanity (the ones that didn't accept Jesus, but then again depending on your view) by god with huge disasters such as an increase in wars, diseases, more earth catastrophes, and increasing in frequency as the end comes....It's taught that Jesus will come before the Antichrist makes his appearance and gather his own dead and alive and get new bodies like Jesus (Rapture), while the rest go through this punishment. In the end Jesus returns to destroy all who had rejected him...Of course, this is just one interpretation, but the most popular one. Some believe Jesus will come before the 7 years, some in the middle of the 7 years, and some at the end of the 7 years, which of course is the 2nd Coming...Then there will be a new Earth after the old one is destroyed. The non believers will be thrown into the fiery pit with satan, and depending on your view, will burn up, or satan will come back to the earth after 1000 years to try to stir up things again only to finally be destroyed...There is a great "White Throne Judgement" for all of mankind.
you said the book was a midieval acid trip, but if you believe in the book, you can think of it as a person seeing things from our day and having no way of describing them. the only way for these people to describe any kind of machine would be as an animal (these people have no concept of what machines are).

I was only being descriptive. The book is really an anti-Roman propaganda book and that is not just my opinion. Just type this into Google “Revelations anti-Roman propaganda” and you will see all kinds of articles on the subject.
