No, it's interesting character development. Prehaps she lost someone to one of Carnage's rampages, and that someone else died due to Venom's 'Lethal Protection'. Or was killed during V + C's fight in the Venom vs. Carnage mini. Or when they both escaped from Ravencroft. Or maybe the first other symbiote she meets is Donna/Scream, who imbues her with a hatred for all things symbiotic?

Actually I was thinking of what they done to her before when Eddie and Cletus were just normal.Meaning before they gotten their symbiotes.
