Cool- what do you think, Nataku? Would that provide everything we need?
__Bad S...oh, I just bought and read Venom:Run. SPOILERS It was EXCELLENT. I am thinking about getting the first arc. I love how it looks to me just now- with the BigBadBob of the story and the suit being one and the same...somehow... I liked poor, mixed-up, played-like-fiddles Frankie and Vic. I adored Patricia. Nemo's fan-fic on it is nearing completion, she reports. Excited!!!

Or maybe she or someone she cares about was hurt by bad publicity, one of the stories Eddie wrote... 😕

As for Toxin, we'll find out in April... 😛

That's a good idea, NV- good angle.
__Still, Dazzler, it's a stretch to have her hate them both- two totally disparate individuals- and later become linked to them by becoming one of the few symbiotes. You'll need a reason for this to happen, each step of the development. Challenging! Sometimes that's fun, and sometimes it's frustrating.

You don't like my idea? 🙁

I like it. It will make you work hard, however, because it involves two big coincidences that have to be accounted for. Here's how I'd play it- I'd have the charactor, in her thoughts, acknowledge how many coincidences have played a part in bringing her into this situation.

Nice to see another fan of the Tsunami story-line. That makes maybe 2 dozen of us worldwide. People hated this book, but I absolutely loved it. Glad you enjoyed it too, sister. I just thought that the entire premise was wonderful--brave, inventive, and very well-thought out.

Daniel Way, the guy who wrote it, e-mailed me about six months ago. He thanked me for my interest in the story, thanked me for writing about it here on kmc, and said he was glad I enjoyed his work.

I'm excited to see what she'll do with it--she was the only other girl I've seen or met that liked the story. I'm certain she will add all the elements that the story itself lacked--the elements omitted when Way was forced to compress and compromise the story when Marvel decided to scrap the book (so it could put friggen Mary Jane comics on the shelves--ugh.)

My brother and I just loved that new Venom series. Loved the mood, love the humor. The poor exploited Vic and Frankie clones and the doomed scientists: "Your sample is on it's way." 😂
As soon as I was done reading it... *yoink!* 😛
Wish they'd continue the series. gunsmilie

ok i have jsut gotten in the mood ot start writing symbiote fanfiction ok

query- can i do crossovers please (I am a uber anime fan but if you say no i will try my best with doing odd bonding with characters no mary jane thought that is so overrated)

My friend gave me good advices on what they did to her.I'm not sure if I should tell you here b/c 1 incident idea is quite disturbing

fox, I know you're a Teen Titans fan. I think it would be ok to do a little DC cross--maybe Justice League, since the characters are more familiar to people. I think the Titans would be great, though. Could be VERY funny. You should write something anyway, even if it's just for yourself.

I guess that could work the Teen Titans meet Carnage and Venom. I don't think it would be a long comic. You would have a lot of dead teen titans.

What do you say, privates!!!!!!!!!!! 😠

😄 Excellent! clapping

__FD, THANKS for the heads-up. What fantastic news! Hope "they" are still Naomi bonded to the Other, but if he's starting a new series and a new charactor, I'm on board for that, too. Sounds like it's She-Venom. I'm definitely excited.
__I'm debating whether to get the first arc of the Tsunami Venom (Do I need it at this point?) or just get the final book.
__It is a definite loss that the book did not continue. I can't help but assume that Patricia would have been an ongoing charactor in the series...God, Marvel just did not give this book enough time. Frankie and Vic were also an awesome concept, because each time you see them, you hope for better for them, you hope for an escape- they're VERY relatable. The writer can kill them and still they can be in the next issue- it rocks. What an effective way to involve us, to get our eyes peeled!
__Must have been the art, right? Only I liked it until the artist changed toward the end of the TPB, and even then I thought it fair- good faces at least, cleverly observed, lots of recognizable quirks of facial language that most artists don't include. Most artists must not watch people as often or as astutely as they could... So I didn't care for the style but I saw real ability and superlative communication of emotion.

__Oh, Bad S, LOL at the quote in that pic; you've got the best sense of humor! And a pic or a quote for everything. Heh, the "Quotable Venom," a book by Bad S- "Venom For Every Eventuality of Your Life."

I usually just post pics to emote and echo the sentiment of my post, AND to amuse myself. I am glad you appreciate the effort.

I always wondered how Way would have written the story if he had known that it would only be 18 issues. It's a pity. 6 months ago, I encountered about 5 or 6 guys who were having trouble finding back issues in their towns--one of them said he saw a couple of them auctioning for $20 each--to which I replied "What?!?"

And since you mentioned the art, I feel compelled to add that even though the appearance of the characters themselves didn't exactly send the bulk ofthe readers clamoring for more, I thought that some of the sceneries and backgrounds were really quite beautiful.

There were also at least four or five different guys penciling this title, and the cool thing is that their styles are so complimentary, that they blend pretty smoothly and you really don't notice any change from arc to arc.

Fever, if you want, I can either send you a brief synopsis of the arc(s) that you're missing, or I could e-mail you them. Though you may want to see them, with the story Nemo's writing, and with what you've seen so far, I'm more than confident that you'll piece it together on your own.

Here's a page from LedHeavy's Skottie Young, who penciled the final arc.

Found a fanfic. Good so far... 😛
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2190490/1/

Get both "Shiver" and "Twist" to go with "Run," Fever, you need 'em. This is an excellent and interesting story; don't miss *any* of it. "What if we took John Carpenter's 'The Thing' and put it in the Marvel U?" Fascinating concept. What a movie these arcs would make!

That clone symbiote is a BADASS. It makes the Venom symbiote seem almost nice by comparison. It likes to stalk people through empty buildings and torment them and f*** with their heads and generally try to scare them to death: when it's not leaving roomfuls of dead bodies in its wake. It can usually work all these concepts into a single day!

IMO the art in "Shiver" is very, very hard to take; Young's work in "Twist" is comparatively easy on the eye [incredible statement!]. The story is important, though, so I'm still glad I got it.

Now as for the fanfic.... having wrote this thing, I did that WITHOUT reading Shiver 1st, BIG mistake, now I'm wondering if Patricia and that clone should be way more adversarial than they are. Because she really, really has reason to absolutely hate that thing. I'll probably leave it how it is for the most part.

As for my filling in any plot-holes, I dunno. It immediately struck me upon reading Twist that there was a whole great big sexual subtext here that was being hinted at but not gone into. Brock is talking dirty to Patrica during that alleyway fight. Yes, he is. Definitely! All this talk about tasting and teasing.... tsk. 😈 I love it. Personally I don't see how any hetero female could say no to Brock for all that long, especially with the many and various, er, talents he possesses... so I doubt my little potboiler will fill in that many gaps, but as far as resolution of sadistic love/hate attractions then it might be enjoyable for that.

I'm going to try and finish that this coming week, I'd have it done now but I have a great big old test Monday I should be studying for right now and am I doing that? NO, typical.

I want to get started on my next one, which is going to be starring Carnage and will probably be opening with that warehouse-roof scenario I posted over on the Hype a while back. I am ready to write about Carny; can't wait to get that going.

Okay, I am shutting up now, excuse this rambling about 😈

I think you had a good idea going. But like Fever said, it's kinda coincidental. Although, if you want your character to hate both Venom and Carnage, how about this: She hates one because of a previous experience, and grows to hate the other one more recently upon meeting him. I mean, Carnage is and has been a psycopathic serial killer, and Venom's a jerk who could easily piss off just about anybody upon having met them. This way you could feasibly have your character hate them both.

no teen titans for me but a few other crossovers as a comedy comes into town

She hates both b/c of previous experience when all 3 didn't have their symbiotes yet you know what I mean? I would like to say my idea of what they did to her but as I said, 1 incident is quite disturbing.

Countdown till the new SV story:
😄
11 days, 264 hours(sorta of)

Actually, forget the countdown thing.
It's kinda stupid.... 😕
