"RUN!" Malfoy howled, and shot a spell at Harry, as did the others.
Several silver arrows smashed into his chest, and had Harry wore his old armour, he would have been reduced to a pile of ash. However, not only did the spells fell like light jabs, they seemed to invigorate him to a point to that if he had wings, he woudl have flown circles around the fleeing Death Eaters.
Suddenly, everything seemed to slow down slightly. Harry feared that they might have put some kind of illusion or enchantment behind them, but it seemed that the suit not only protected him very well and aided his senses, but also enhanced his reflexes greatly. So much that it appeared in Harry's eyes that things were slowing down a little from the adrenaline racing through his bloodstream.
He followed them at a run and heard faraway voices. His party had saw the bright flashes of light. How had they gotten pushed so far back? And where on earth was Voldemort?
The Death Eaters were of course too far away to slash, so Harry took aim at the back of one. "Stupefy!"
Out from the tip of his wand came not a single jet of red light, but a blinding, unstoppable wave of crimson that staggered even Harry. The Death Eater turned to block it, and could only gape in astonishment as the incredible wave of light passed over him. He dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Harry felt as amazed as the unconscious Rookwood was. So the suit amplified the spell effects as well. What else could it possibly do? No wonder it's deemed incredibly powerful, Harry thought.
He ran over the body, taking extra care to step on Rookwood's chest as he passed.
Harry came to a point where two glowing green skulls seemed to block the passsageway. Tentatively, Harry tried to pass and was pushed back several inches. If he had not worn the armor, it would have sent him flying.
He tried to destroy it with another Stunning Spell, but it simply glanced off an unseen barrier. Harry saw a glass-like panel between the two skulls flare suddenly as the wave connected.
I need to get through! Harry thought urgently. There was no telling if the Death Eaters would meet Harry's group. People would be injured, possibly die.
As soon as this occured to him, the Torch flared again. A jet of pure fire met the barrier, lighting the whole panel up with green. Then, it burned away rapidly, forming a small but passable hole, which Harry did not hesitate to step through, albeit unelegantly.
"Harry?!" a disbelieving voice sounded in his ears. They were near!
"It's me!" Harry said urgently, looking around wildly for wherever they were.
"We're down here!" Ron called.
Down? Harry mused. Sure enough, after Harry crouched down and looked beneath the path, Ron and the others standing on a level several meters below him. Everyone was awed by his appearance and new weapon, save Dumbledore.
