I think eventually the Heroes thread/sub will return to a single thread. The real answer is, Will it become a single thread before the show is cancelled? So far Season 1 was the best of all 3 seasons.

As for a Lost subthreads, Not really sure if it matters. We only have 1 season left after this one.

Haha, any time now heroes will die. Its getting there. I completely stopped watching smallville all together. 😂

me too! 😆

I have last season (I think it's season 7) DVD laying around somewhere, I stopped watching after the Black Canary episode... not because I didn't want too, I just couldn't get around to it...

... though the Smallville forum still has more activity than both Heroes and Lost combined... 😆

LOST it's also on it's final "glorious" episodes anyways... does it really matter?

Long story short, Clark reveal his identity to the world. That didnt turned out well and he used a ring he got from The Legion(of Superheroes) which allowed him to go back in time and changed his mind about revealing his lame ass to the world. Pure garbage.

Well, f*ck me with a particularly jagged piece of 815 plane wreckage...!!
The mans right...! 😂

Well done. Season 3 is awarded the extra 10 points worth of 'suck'.
But it still ruled. 😖hifty:

I was attempting to get the conversation back on track.... but yes. I liked it last night. I hope they go into why some people time traveled and some didn't. It boggles my mind.

I'm guessing that the island specifically chooses the people.

If not then i have no idea

so is "the island" actually doing something? is it concious?

I always thought fate was the cause.....the universe course correcting. I take the island to be just an island....

I like to think it is, i mean, look what its been doing.

Raising the dead? Curing diseases and injuries. Either someone on the island is doing this (Jacob?) or its the island itself.

Are you sure that wasn't Heroes? ha-son

So... Ben huh?

Does Sayid really think he can change the past/future?

I guess I'll just bump all the old LOST threads. They are still around here somewhere....

That oughta rage against the machine enough

It seemed like a smart thing to do. I dont think Ben died. The bullet hit him close to where the heart would be and we all know Ben has no heart. I wonder if the bullet is what caused (will cause) the tumor that Ben had on Season 2.

well played my friend, well played.

Just seems that a lot of people still believe the island has some sort of mind that creates wishes and magical powers that fullfill them. "the island wants ______", "the island wouldn't let Michael die", etc.

The last few season have gone into a pseudo-scientific directon offering explanations for occurances on the island. It's getting more and more away from mysteries whose answers are "the magical island wished it and made it happen". It all started with the universe course correcting and Desmond changing fate. Just seems more logical that fate (for lack of a better word) is what is causing all these mysterious occurances as course correction, leading the losties on paths to set right whatever went wrong and needed to be corrected. If that course correction involves John Locke not being dead in '07, he's not dead anymore. If that course correction involves Hurley, Kate, Jack and the bunch to travel back to '77........that's what happens as fate led Locke on the path to turning the wheel, jumping the island in time, eventually stopping in '74.

It just seems more reasonable that Michael couldn't kill himself because the path he is on was not finished yet. Whatever happened, happened. If Michael was on the freighter he was supposed to be there. That's why he couldn't kill himself when he got off the island. Say we're viewing this tv show in 2015 (and probably will be on dvd) and everything is in the past to us. Ofcourse Michael couldn't kill himself off the island because he was on the freighter months later. Whatever happened, happened...he couldn't change that. It was fate and his inability to alter fate and change the direction of the universe that prevented him from dying, not some magic gun jamming island. Michael couldn't die at that time for the exact same reason Jack, Kate, Sawyer nor anybody else could have died before the freighter showed up......they were alive later so couldn't die then.

I guess it's because I'm not a religious person. If a perfectly valid scientific explanation is offered up (and has been by the show, well scientific in their terms), no need to start jumping to magical entities creating something from nothingness be it an invisible man in the sky or a magical island with wishes, wants, feelings and magical powers.

Oh I agree.

Despite any slight of hand nodding to the religious every now and then, my money will be on their whole plan being to tell a real mythos type story from a scientific point of view.

I too attribute the miracle gun jamming etc to causality.
And I agree that if Michael had topped himself, he couldnt have done the freighter thing.
Which'd have been maybe a paradox causer if the o6ers were ever meant to be on the island in the 70s.
Cause the freighter refuel gave em enough fuel to get to where they needed to be.

Let's just wait for LOST to explain it all before we start giving each other headaches.
