Funny how Cap's shield contradicts itself. It can take any punishment and nullify the momentum, yet it seems to retain that momentum just fine and not absorb any impacts when its thrown at someone or something.

And one more time: I like Cyclops. He's a cool character. But in a straight-up fight, Cap would defeat him nine times out of ten.

Captain America 9/10? When the best anyone's come up with for him so far is he crouches down into an impossibly small ball, and hides behind the shield, waiting for Cyclops to attack?

If he had to wait, he'd have already won.

If Cyclops was anything less than immediate with his initial attack, that brief window of time--it might only be a split second--would be enough for Cap to take him out with a shield toss.

Captain America jumps down into an impossibly small ball, with little mobility, behind his shield 20ft away from Cyclops. He can't see what Cyclops is doing. Cyclops is ready and waiting to fire. Some how he gets into an upright stance and goes through the range of motion required to throw the shield before Cyclops fires.

Captain america doesn't have super speed, to throw it properly he will have to pull back, and he'd be zapped by then anyway.

Captain America doesn't have "super," speed but he's a good bit faster than Cyclops.

And Cyclops could dodhe the shield assuming Captain America threw it. . . Without being blasted during the rearing back to throw the sheild.

I had difficulty locating the crouch block sprite. . but you should get the idea from this sprite how Captain America can't hide completely behind his sheild. . .

* this is fresh!!! the fact is, like Creshosk says, Cap can never cover his entire body with his shield... Cap's obviously susceptible to Cyke's blasts...

Well actually Cap got beaten by a Imperfect ship in Marvel rise of the imperfects but thats the game but in a comic i think Cap would be whuppin cyclops a$$
