Lord of the Rings vs. Star Wars.

i agree with what shadowy said up there, with the parallels and all. personally, my first love was star wars (around age 8) but then i somewhat lost interest when episodes one and two came out and began obsessing over lotr, but now it's come full circle because i'm a full fledged fan again with star wars, i personally think that both have amazing qualities

I like Lord of the Rings better and Peter Jackson...

I like Star Wars better. I feel more for the characters. I can relate to them more because they are more human. There is more gender equality. I know that Tolkein was a product of his time, but still.

I do like LOTR, I just think that SW is better.

lord of the rings, no contest. Its more consistent.

And Jackson of course, Lucas only directed the first of the original Star Wars trilogy. And the new ones which he has directed are complete rubbish. Although of course this third one might be better (might)

IMHO....Return of the kking beets any SW movie...at this moment...in 4 days I am sure that is gonna change...I think ROTS will be my fave 😄

Despite the upcoming Episode III release I still love LOTR. I don't understand why the fanbases turn these franchises into a trench war. Both Star Wars and LOTR have contribute a lot to imagination and fiction. Sorry no argument will persuade me to pick one over the other. I just love'em both. 🙂
