It's a reasonable question, however, since no answer for it is likely or logical, it's best unasked.

Right, it certainly is valid. But I showed why the theist answer is logically improbable, while a simpler scientific explanation, while not a certainty, is much more probable.

But I disagree that it's best unasked. Not knowing something doesn't mean we shouldn't attempt to seek the answer. Like I said, plausible scientific theories exist for it and should be pursued to determine their validity.

Yeah, the scientists should work on that. Funny, one group of scientists is working out where we came from and the biggest thing in existance, another group is working out what we're made of and the smallest thing in the universe. This expansion of knowledge may be too great to grasp.

I know the feeling.

But my general idea with religions as it applies to these things is that, they take something we don't know (the origin of creation, for existence) and simply insert God. The question is done for them, even though their answer is often times irrational or at least unsupported by evidence. We can't test it, we can't question it...it's simply the end of the discussion for theists. It stifles true inquiry.

Its mind boggling to me, so why?

I really don't buy a lot of the shit they preach...well, just christian shit, that is.

I'm not sure about other religions, but I'm just very anti-christian.

It just feels like the only thing you can trust is science, so why not......

It's a great way to control people aswell. People want answers, give them answers, they will be happy. When they take that first step out of the concept of God doing everything, and stop thinking the world is a dream, we shall advance foreward, and actually make things better, rather than everyone saying it is and believing it.
