Spider-man wins by stats. Bats has interesting previous feats, so does spidey. The most accurate way of deciding a winner is through stats. Therefore Spider-man who has a distinct advantage, wins.
Too bad stats don't account for gadgets. Need anymore proof stats are incomplete and can be a misrepresentation of a characters real abilities? Most accurate my eye.

Exactly intangibles and plot devices mean squat, if you can't argue them, peter is more precise than batman.

Gadgets are useless. I cant say it any differently, Spider-man will dodge the gadgets due to his spider-sense, therefore a MORE ACCURATE way of comparing the characters is through stats.............
These same stats that have Doc Ock's tentacles slower than most baseball pitches?
ok lets take a look at what we got here....
Batman's powers....(yes he does have some even though people dont think he does, just because he's only peak human)
peak human strength(600 lb. bench press), master of over 120 different forms of martial arts, posses the power of ten men in a fist fight, peak human agility(remember in Begins when he's fighting those guys w/ sticks on those 5 posts having to balance armed with nothing), has stealth tactics in which he can have the effect to be "invisible" to his enemies, Flight with cape, Has: a bulletproof, triple weave, kevlar reinforced body armor suit covering him from head to toe, a pair of metal blade gauntlets, a utility belt with an array of gadgets from hearing devices, a night vision scope, batarangs, grapple gun to top buildings, mini-mines, smoke pellets, supersonic high frequency device on boot which attracts swarms of thousands of bats, the "Tumbler" Batmobile which has stealth mode, tank armor, and a 1500 hp Jet Engine allowing it to go from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds, and exceed speeds of over 200mph, and is also equipped with dual missile launchers. The Batman also has the power to oppress fear on his enemies, with an almost psychotic drive built from pure anger to stop crime, and a very intelligent detective mind always ready to plan something.
Spiderman's powers..... Spiderman has a spider sense in which he can sense dangerous things about to happen and dodge them when necessary, Superhuman agility in which he can hop about 30 feet in the air, superhuman strength able to lift up to ten tons, Able to crawl on buildings with web material that sticks on his hands, has web shooters allowing to swing from building to building(or do whatever else he pleases), and a guilt in his mind which will always remain in which he let his Uncle die....making him do whatever's necessary to put an end to crime.....
There, laid the facts.....*Discuss*
No offense, braz...but this thread has been going on for 260 pages now. I think we know all the facts about the characters by now.
Oh, and by the way, it's basically a REALLY bad move to base your facts off of the movies. I'm just trying to save you the trouble that you most likely will receive anyway. Don't use movie facts or you'll get attacked by almost everyone here.
Oh, and Spiderman wins.
Welcome to the forum, but...use comics as a reference from now on.

Spidey's guilt and Batman's "psychotic drive" would mean nothing in the fight since neither are likely to have commited a crime. It would only work if a really smart villain had framed both of them and the two were after each other.

Spidey could also web the gadgets which would use up less energy, but it would use up some of the webbing in his web-shooters.
I suggested comparing them through stats because everything aside from stats has been countered argued with "well this character has beaten this one or this one has achieved this feat before and therefore can do so in this fight." Stats may not be accurate but we can say, this character is better or worse in terms of strength, Intelligence etc. You may not initially agree with someones stats but support your own opinion of how the stats should be..........................

Just to let you know, I don't know the stats, so if you see me saying something that goes completely against how the stats of the two compare, don't blame me.
By the way, nice sig.
