First, I've never seen, nor heard of, Xaviar actually speaking to someone telepathically from across the universe. Second, when Xavier is able to mind dominate an entire planet, including Thor, THEN I'll say he can be spoken of in the same breathe as Moony. Also, SS has shown a marked ability to resist mind control(see Infinity War).

Wow, thats something SS hasn't ever done before SS is the BEST atomic matter manipulator, among heroes, in comics. He's done things like created a space ship from NOTHING by reading Bruce Banner's mind on the design of the ship. He's created his old house on Zenn La, down to details he'd apparently forgotten about, just by pointing. BAM! Instant house from nothing. When it comes to stuff like this, Cable is FAR behind the guy who practically invented such things... I don't know why this is, but as soon as a mutant shows the least bit of power, mutant fans go crazy and think that the character is suddenly the strongest/toughest/smartest/etc, and is suddenly more adept than a character who has been doing the same thing, or more, for DECADES.
I'm not saying this applies to you, but just that it is something I've noticed from X-fans in general.

SS created an antibody to a virus in moments to save a planet from a virus he himself introduced.
rerouted flood paths to water the Sahara, extended his TK into multi-tasking tens of thousands of things around the planet all at once, & the list goes on.
Just recently, SS merged with Earth to stop it's disintegration from storms, earthquakes, volcanoes, etc. I think thats a BIT more impressive
He's thrown every single logger out of the Amazon forest, uses 2 hours a day focused in on soothing the pain of every singe person on the planet dying of any kind of disease, apparantly he does it all the time to a lesser degree, he can teleport someone on the Earth's surface to the Moon with minimal effort.
See, the difference between SS and Cable regarding disease is that whereas Cable can only soothe their pain, SS could moreo than likely HEAL it. He's pulled back GODS from Hela, restored life to animals, and TONS more. SS has lots of impressive healing feats.
He has pulled his space station out of theocean and put it back together and put it in the earth's orbit.
He also has Deadpool's Healing factor.
SS just recently pulled HIS space ship out of the ocean. As for a healing factor, he doesn't really NEED one, though he has reconstructed himself. However, it would take more than Cable, from what you've told me, to damge him. Certainly more than mere bullets.
good posts Ponem....u have some good surfer knowledge...i know what ur talking about when u say mutant fans go crazy...they jus dont know about the cosmic guys who do stuff like that everyday...thats why people should know about character before they start to bash with little comic knowledge...oh and what can Cable not defend...I honestly doubt his tk could block a full blast of planet shattering cosmic power
Ok, I just read a recent issue of Spider-man and Surfer encased Carnage *who rivals Thanos in evil* in ethereal energy but he didn't use his 'drop your atoms into the sun' power so whether he ACTUALLY has that power or not doesn't matter. Nobody can use that as an argument because he obviously doesn't use it if he's not going to kill Earth's most dangerous psychopath.
Surfer wouldn't need it to beat Cable anyway. I don't care how powerful Cable is all of the sudden, he's a mortal human being. Surfer is neither of those.
...Surfer is an ex-herald of Galactus.....a mutant....beat Surfer.......lol.. 😆 ..Cable, or God-like Cable is awsome....but u mutie fans are giving him too much credit. He didn't instantly change everybodies skin pink (if that even matters gainst the surf). The surfer can heal anyone. He has the ability to even evolve other living beings. In his own issue he evolved human children that were around the same power as X-Man. He has even tamed earthly animals like lions and tigers and bears and antlopes, and evolved their natures so that they could all live peacefully without eating or fearing each other.
The surfer isn't human.....telepathy? I guess Xavior, or Jean Grey can take over surf's mind as well (lol, no) or bash him around w/ telekenisis.......lmao....you guys are funny. Oh, and ONLY Surfer can control his board....ONLY Surfer.
And a physical fight? Surfer can make himself as strong as he wants to practically. Mentally, the surfer has more mental power than most of you are willing to give him credit for. Ponem made a good point by comparing the cable arguments to surfers abilities. Galactus is like God and man. Some pumped up mutant isn't gonna match up to his favorite and most powerful herald who destroyed worlds for a living.
Don't take surfer's kindness and compassion for weakness. Surfer could do all Cable did and more, it's just Surfer realized that he is above human beings (and mutants), and he can not save them with all the power he has, because Earthlings have to save themselves. Surfer has played God many times, only to learn that people are people and they will do what they want, if you save them or not. Spiderman lives that everyday. Heroes can lead by example as Surfer does, but people are inherantly evil, which is why surfer left earth in the first place.
Plain and simple, Silver Surfer beats Cable in everyway 😛 . He simply does not shower all of his abilities on people at once. He has faced greater opponents......lol, force feilds......easy things to make and break for one of the most powerful cosmic beings. He holds the power of stars.
good post ponem, about the healing factor, surfer has the habilitie of "Self-Regeneration with Unearthly ability", and he also can "Heal Others with Unearthly ability".
About his board, i have a comic where surfer is fighting Ghaur and then he controls surfer´s board, it was a terrible idea, surfer was so offended, that Ghaur had to escape, or else surfer would have murdered him.
he didnt kill carnage because he took pity on him obviously.....he returned the symbiote back to Cassidy because he would die without it...he figured containing him like that was the most human thing to do..I dont think he would rearrange Cable's molecules.....he would only try something like that under the most dire circumstance...however, he could beat him other ways. like i said, simply overpowering his TK...i honestly think this writer is copying the surfer's abilities with this new Cable and doing a poor job. like i posted earlier, the book has no cohesion, its starting to look like dragon ball z

Actually, they might be going somewhere with Cable being so powerful and all. Cable is basically taking over earth, and a cosmic being sees that something should be done about this, so Surfer comes in and puts Cable back in his place. I'm sure Cable's powers will diminish. No comic writer is stupid enough to keep Cable so powerful for too long.
