I doubt Cable or Silver Surfer in an all out battle will go down like a feather weight. Both have had many a defining moment in their long careers but to assume either would be taken down without a long and arduous battle that's slow. I'm definately a Cable fan first and foremost but after reading about the " Apocalyptic " path he's been treading down maybe it's best if he gets knocked down a few pegs from his seat on mount olympus ( That's a metaphore, children. ) I think this whole Surfer/Cable battle's purpose might be to knock some sense into Nathan. He's been doing a lot of things that aren't normally in his character. Surfer's probably one of the only heroes I know that's balanced his physical and mental prowess with that of his very pure and calm soul. I give this battle to Silver Surfer. I say he knocks Cable out in the 6th round. ::Rings a bell and walks away.:: 😐
no its not...he made a good point with facts and reference....there was a really analytical appoach to what he had to say...he captured a really strong comic theme: Hubris, which applies to basically any good story...most of the people....just about all the people that talk about Cable winning have nothing to base it on....they just think he's really cool...they dont know anything about Surfer but assume some tk is gonna beat surfer just because it works on x-types
This isn't like our Cable vs. X-Man debate, man. I KNOW both of those characters in greater detail. I have every one of their comics and have followed them both with extensive scrutiny. I know the effect of their exploits and the extent of their abilities -- unlike Norrin Radd. With him I only know the basics from the 20 something comics I've read on him. Not including my Fan Four issues. I don't know what he can really do or the wherewithal of his spirit which I'm told is very potent. The Silver Surfer isn't by any means a light weight when it comes to sheer power and durability. Anyway, getting back to the point. I don't see this battle as Cable truly losing. I'm not a big fan of this God-Like Cable. He reminds me too much of the SHAMAN X-Man which I despise Warren Ellis for. If him falling to Silver Surfer brings back the gun totin' badass from the future -- I'm all for it. I'd rather have the soldier than this messiah or worse. My vote for stands for Silver Surfer in the hopes he'll return the " Messiah " to his gun wielding senses.
Actually Surfer flies faster than the speed of light. IG#3-4. Warlock & Surfer are one light year away from Thanos. How long did it take Surfer to travel that distance in order to try and grab the IG? About 5 seconds. If he travelled about the speed of light or slower, it would have taken him a year or more to get there.
