i dont hate venom, i would just hate the fact that Topher Grace might be playing the role of Eddie Brock and Venom being squeezed and rushed in sp3

Honestly, I doubt that he'll be squeezed and rushed, and Topher seems to be bulking up a bit. He's already bigger than Tobey Maguire, and he's still probably going. Also, they could go with a body double with the suit, because I'd personally like to see an animatronic mask. If anyone's gonna get squeezed, it'll be Sandman, and Sandman isn't that important anyway.

whoa i didnt know he's bigger than Tobey lol...still going? but hasnt filming started already?

Sandman will be important, he has a wife and daughter...ya know, sympathy, stuff happens, blame on spiderman...

I like Sandman, don't get me wrong. However, he's kinda 2D. It would be cool if Spidey screwed both of them over at the same time.

yeah i totally agree, he IS like a 2d character, thats why i thought they COULD fit in a third villain, but he might not be 2d anymore, he has a family in the movie...that means something, just like how Doc Ock had a wife in the movie, so he had someone to lose and blame spiderman, etc.

I agree...(That's the only thing I say in here nowadays!)

Got any pics??

How can you think he won't be rushed?? Raimi can barely give ONE villain 35 minutes on screen. How long do you think 2-3 villains will get in TWO hour movie.

It won't be 3 hours. No way.Not even close. No super hero flick is that long.

2 or 2 and a half tops

2 hours and 10-15 minutes tops.

any longer and folks tend to get bored

That, and superhero movies are never that long.2 hours average.

That's all they need.

If they would make a 5 hour Spider-Man film fans would love it...but that's just it, only fans would. Everyone else would be pissed and not see it. Its just sensible to make them the length they've been doing...although we all know that we personally would rather prefer as much material as possible just to see it up on the screen cause we love the character.

5 hours???

LOL! Keep reaching for that star dude 😉

no one wants to see a 5 hour spiderman movie, unless it was separated into like half hour segments like episodes and then put on tv and shown like an episode a day...

lotr 3 hours, and its boring sitting there for 3 hours, those are good movies no doubt, but to watch them AGAIN for another 3 hours thats like a chunk out of your day, for sam raimi to make a 3 hour spiderman movie and still make it good, its really doubtful, unless peter jackson directed spiderman then it would seem plausible for it to be a great 3 hour film...

I'm a hue fan, but 5 hours sitting down? First of all that would hurt your ass, second You'de see it once and never want to again cause of length.. 5 hours would be horrible, Now 3 or less i can see....

The longest I would see it is 2 hour 30 min, but that is still pushing, 2 hour 10 min maybe just maybe 20 min.

Kirstan Dunst has said that Venom and Sandman will for sure be in it, where is teh official SpiderMan 3 trhead? someone said that he posted a picture showing Hobgoblin behind Mary Jane at the end of SM2 unless eh posted it her aiI want to see it

Yeah, if it was actually a movie starring Spider-Man and not the simpering oaf that's been chewing scenery for two films now. I would gladly see a five hour movie, in the theater, if it was a quality and faithful representation of one of the most brilliantly conceived superhero sagas of all time. Aside from a few excellent CGI shots and costuming, that would look almost nothing like what we've seen so far.

If they made a Spider-Man movie that truly represented the best elements of the mythos, it wouldn't just appeal to fans. It would appeal to lowest common denominator people who like action and pretty faces (although Peter Parker's face would be covered for at least half of his screentime, if this was a real Spider-Man movie), it would appeal to people who like intelligent humor, and psychologically conflicted characters (something we haven't actually seen, regardless of what easily-impressed and easily deluded sycophants want to believe), and it would appeal to people who like superheroes. Even people who never picked up a comic book would watch a Spider-Man movie if it was done properly, the same way they watched the clumsily and poorly written, mediocre drivel they've already released.

Five hours would be pushing it with any audience, but if they cut it down to three and made it entertaining the whole way through, the only reasonable complaint would be that we didn't get any worthless soap opera scenes during which to relieve one's bladder. Then again, if it was a good enough movie, they might come back the very next day and just coordinate their restroom run according to what they saw and didn't see last time.

Oh what a world it would be if these filmmakers actually cared about the subject matter more than their own petty whims and the most callously organized focus group testing.

This is the main Spiderman 3 stuff, and the Hobgoblin crap behind MJ is just weird, he ain't there.
