Yeah, if it was actually a movie starring Spider-Man and not the simpering oaf that's been chewing scenery for two films now. I would gladly see a five hour movie, in the theater, if it was a quality and faithful representation of one of the most brilliantly conceived superhero sagas of all time. Aside from a few excellent CGI shots and costuming, that would look almost nothing like what we've seen so far.
If they made a Spider-Man movie that truly represented the best elements of the mythos, it wouldn't just appeal to fans. It would appeal to lowest common denominator people who like action and pretty faces (although Peter Parker's face would be covered for at least half of his screentime, if this was a real Spider-Man movie), it would appeal to people who like intelligent humor, and psychologically conflicted characters (something we haven't actually seen, regardless of what easily-impressed and easily deluded sycophants want to believe), and it would appeal to people who like superheroes. Even people who never picked up a comic book would watch a Spider-Man movie if it was done properly, the same way they watched the clumsily and poorly written, mediocre drivel they've already released.
Five hours would be pushing it with any audience, but if they cut it down to three and made it entertaining the whole way through, the only reasonable complaint would be that we didn't get any worthless soap opera scenes during which to relieve one's bladder. Then again, if it was a good enough movie, they might come back the very next day and just coordinate their restroom run according to what they saw and didn't see last time.
Oh what a world it would be if these filmmakers actually cared about the subject matter more than their own petty whims and the most callously organized focus group testing.
