That is it?? Wow,
I can't believe you were completely disregarding my theory and criticising it, meanwhile your theory didn't even have a paper thin string to support it. All in all, my theory has developed more evidence behind it and will continue to do so leading up to an official announcement.
Unless of course, we are both wrong and Church is really playing Electro. 😛

I see you didn't quote the part where I said Church looks like Sandman and Sandman is a more visually stunning villain who can provide spectacular fight scenes unlike Chameleon.
You're not getting the Chameleon. And I'll be here to point out I was right and you were wrong next month 😉
Why Raimi would end the franchise with a villain who can make himself look like other people is baffling.Name one spectacular fight the Chameleon could offer that would equal or top the bank fight scene or the train fight with Ock.
Chameleon is no match for Spider-Man physically. Therefore there would be no big fight scene. Therefore you have more chance of seeing the Spot than you do Chameleon.

For once Ock, I totally agree with you

1. I didn't quote it because anybody can go out and say "He is going to play [blank] because he looks like him." That is not valid evidence.
2. Keep telling yourself that, you seem to be believing it.
3. Raimi would choose him because he is not the main villain, there is another villain he is going to use for the most instense or action-filled scenes. His character would have more reason for being there than to simply "fight" with Spider-Man.
4. Same as #3.
I am still hopeful, and praying that Venom would be the villain. I never liked Electro or Sandman, they are cool characters but they never interested me. I could be wrong but in the quote "Let's just say he's an amorphous collection of protons, electrons, and neutrons, of different colors." couldn't it be venom? If you look at it Venom can be amorphous and change shapes. The symbiote is a collection of protons, electrons, and neutrons, (so is every living thing on the planet). And for the different colors, the symbiot can change its appearance to suit its surroundings, such as clothing, or become invisible. And for the phrase "He's a horse of many colors" could this not relate to personality or leading a double life? Such as one person with two different personalities such as Eddie Brock and the symbiote to make Venom. This is of course what I can interpret from the hints. It would be great to see Venom and Spiderman in a web swinging battle in New York, or having Brock stalk Peter and mess with his mind, either being with MJ or Aunt May. (Like he did in the comics and cartoon) It would be nice, but if not in spiderman 3, hopefully in another movie. I did remember reading that both Sony and Stan Lee, with some other people from Marvel, would like to have a Spiderman movie with Venom in it.

thats a good point as thats what 99% of fans have been screaming for ever since spidey 1, wouldnt it make sense to put it in for the fans. since there are 2 actors playing 2 villains, and spies have spotted raimi shooting sand being blown around and sandman concept, it could be venom and sandman. topher might be sandman and church might be venom or vice versa. venom for the reason i said above and sandman cause he's raimis favourite villian. everyones happy
I don't know if this could happen, but couldn't the sand on the set be something to throw off spy reports, to make everyone think that Sandman would be the villain. Then turn around and officially announce Venom as the main villain. A while back in a wizard magazine they had the cover for who will be the villain for spiderman 3. In it Raimi said he liked sand man, but in the article it mentions that the villain in Spiderman 3 would be both Spiderman's and Peter's greatest challenge, his shadow. The only villain who I think can be called Spiderman/Peter's shadow would be Venom. I could be wrong or right, I hope I am right. On another note for this years SDCC would they announce the villain or give more clues?
