Its all about strength really. I believe adamantium can cut Colossus but Logan doesnt have the strength to gutt him. IMO its like this - First attack might not leave a mark on Piotr, second one would be a scratch, third a deeper scratch and so on.
i kinda see it that way... slicing rather then stabbing will just scour his armor and weaken it after repeated slashes eventually Logan will cut clean through..
as for stabbing, i see logan punching in to the hilt but not putting colossus down since his innards are energy and slit holes arent going to heavily effect him at least need serieou physical maiming would be needed to put colossus down or a throat stab.

Different writer and artist. In Wolverine #4 his claws weren't on hellfire. In fact, Logan's body was on hellfire only in a single panel in that issue.

So I read the recent fight. My question is this:
Why does the pro Colossus side have to provide evidence that Wolverine was amped?
If the only change were red glowing eyes, then they'd have a case. I however just saw Wolverine fail to do anything to Colossus, and get manhandled.
He flies(?) back in moments later, and cuts through Colossus like a hot knife through butter. He then goes on to breath f*cking hell fire to incapacitate Iceman, uses the damn force chock on Shadow Cat, and does some type of penance stare(?) on Angel.
After reading that issue and seeing the huge leap in effectiveness, I think assuming there's some type of physical amp is the logical think to do until there is evidence to the contrary. Dude was breathing f*cking fire, yet having his strength augmented is what people find far fetched. Ttelekinesis alone can be used to augment his ability to cut through materials.
Adamantium is clearly much tougher than Colossus skin, and I think that doing superficial damage (Ala Thor) is something well within Wolverine's ability to do (At least currently). I don't however think the recent fight can be used to support the "Wolverine can cut Colossus" stance.

Superficial damage at best. No damage at all if we use Thor anywhere near his higher end showings.
If Wolverine could give Thor more than a paper cut, the Odinson would have died a long time ago. He recently took a slash from an amped Hela wielding the Twilight Sword for example (Albeit he was pretty hurt. Nice showing of Thor's healing factor though.)
I think this has been closed long enough.
Pr and I never said Logan was stronger. But given that his demonic possession bestowed new powers, we decided that the cutting feat was not applicable to a standard Wolverine.
This falls back to the CB vs forum rules regarding power ups.
