Back story: In late April I took out a loan of $200 from this place called World Finance. Each month I have to pay $54 until it's paid off.
Story: I was short on cash this month due to bills and buying my plane ticket out of this hell hole. I scrounged up enough money to pay off $30 of it. Keep in mind this was my food money for a whole week. I pretty much starved myself. I went back in on the 15th to pay the rest of this month off. End of story right? No.
I just got a phone call from them saying I owed $30. I told them I didn't. According to them, I paid $34 on the 15th and promised to come in on the 17th to pay the $30. I told them their system was telling them wrong, and that I had already paid it all. They called me a liar, my word against theirs since I lost my receipt.
While still on the phone with this b*tch, who was very condescending, she decided to look again. Surprise, surprise...guess what she found? $30, and a duplicate receipt, dated the 6th of this month. I got a half-assed apology.
I start texting a friend to tell my tale when I get another phone call from them. A different person this time, who finally gave me a heartfelt apology, 6 times to be exact. I wish I was more of a dick so I could have told them to suck it, but I accepted the apology.
More truck problems. First we have shit falling off of it, the tires are balding, the transmission started going out, and now we need a new alternator! I was just at the gas station, went to start it up...and nothing. The battery is brand new, so I knew it wasn't that. Had to bridge a connection where the battery terminal sends to the starter with a screwdriver. Got the truck running, got home. Let it idle for a bit, turned it off, tried to start it...nothing, again. And now my screwdriver trick isn't working.
