It is garbage, but would keep hardcore fanboys interested.

Just so I'm clear on what you mean; you're refering to the fact that the movie is fulfilling for those X-Men fans who are really just fans of watching every thread in the X-verse revolve around how badass and off the hook Wolverine is, as though no other character exists, right?

lol calm down man.

I mean even at that, you got juggernaut on your avatar. You must be a fan that cares a great deal about it.
It's not a bad thing,I was just curious.

Btw, I never said he was ultimately a fanboy,I just asked what kind of fan he would consider himself then. To me that seemed like one.
For all i know he's just a movie buff.
Even at that, you said I should look up the definition, yet I could not find one on definition.com
I guess that means the definition is open to interpertation.

mr.smiley's definition of fanboy is: A fan of a comic book or cartoon series,or maybe even possibly a book (normaly Male), who takes part in near epic and violent internet conversations through message boards. This person may also write a blog as well. Normally, a fanboy shows a great amount of spite towards changes in the comic book, and will detest newer story lines.
Upon a release of a comic book inspired movie this person will ritualisticly take part in a "bashing" of the film with other fanboys of the same source material.
Ironicly,no matter how bad the film is,or how bad the reputation, these fanboys will probably see the film at least twice upon its theatric release.
Fanboys also take part in heated debates on who would win between one comic book character and another.

First of all I am calm, nothing I said sounded heated or offensive. Yes I am a fan of Cain but I'm not a fanboy. If having an avatar and a sig of my favorite comic character makes me a fanboy then would that make you a fanboy of naked fat men at the computer and realistic drawings of South Park?

It pretty much sucked unwashed ass.

AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😆

You make being a fanboy sound like a bad thing.

My theory is that so long as you've never dressed up as a character and nerded it up cosplay style then you aren't a fanboy... that of course is overlooked by tattoos. If you have a tattoo of a character but haven't dressed as them, you are still a fanboy.

That's were the problem arises.
Their are different definetions of what a fanboy actually is.

I don't see the problem, seems like you're the only one who claims people are fanboys. srug

Well I think we have to look at the reality.
If you go out of your time to post on a forum about a comic book or movies etc, you probably are one to a degree.
I don't say it as a bad thing though.

LOL, I mean if I was screaming F(#K(%g fanboys! or something I could see.
But the reality is,most of us spend time on either this thread or one of the other comic book related threads.
If the highlight of your day is making a point on why one comic book character can beat another, I think it's pretty safe to assume you're a fanboy. Maybe more of an introverted one, but one nonetheless.

But don't think i'm trying to put anyone down by saying that.
I proudly consider myself one. We need to embrace our fanboyism!

I think though it's pretty obvious most people who hate the comic adaptations (or hate them the most) are the fans.
That's the original point that I was making in a lighthearted manner.

Well yeah except that, that isn't the highlight of our days. I know its not mine. Just because we post here doesn't mean its the best part of our day?

This new "Wolverine" movie will be the "T.D.K." of 2009. The "Spiderman" of 2009 event-wise.

I also believe that it will be the highest grossing film of 2009 despite it being probably the most leaked film of the year.

Wow, bold statement, Fist.

Nah..

We're talking about a beloved and popular iconic comic book character the just about the likes of superman, batman, and spiderman that goes way back further than any of those titles you've mentioned. (I dunno about Star Trek, though, i think they both came out in the 60's, i think.)

Harry Potter is the only one that really concerns me. I forgot that it's being released this year and they always super-smash box-office records. Transformers is another threat and it won't be a landslide win for either. Terminator will be good but isn't it gonna surpass wolverine.

I guess i'm going on the fact that Wolveringe has a way bigger multi-generational fan base across the board more than most films coming out this year. Those types of

No, no it won't.

Wolverine will most likely be successful, but NOT TDK successful..
