Homosexuality: Chosen or Genetic?

Ah, I see now. But surely gene selection isn't that easy, or truly and directly in my hands. For example my current genes would be the result then of my actions in a past life I can't remember, and what I will do in this life will determine my genes in a future life, cause and effect I understand, but in such a system I didn't directly choose my genes knowingly for this life, and if a person is homosexual because of past life karma, then they wont have consciously selected their genes either, or would they?

And what past action say leads to a genetic inclination towards homosexuality (if it is indeed gene based?)

That gay is another word for homosexual, the technical term for that type of sexual orientation? I would assume that after 150 pages of intense debate that everyone is aware of that.

As for not supporting gay rights, I do not support rights that further seperate homosexuals from the rest of humanity. Gay rights are insulting. Addressing the issue in the constitution by wording it 'gay rights' will only set up apart further.
