Transgenderism has nothing to do with sexual preference or sexual orientation, and a lot of people, both Heterosexual and Homosexual, mistakenly label a person of transgender mindset as a homosexual, or a person who has trouble with his/her sexual desires. It has nothing to do with that. They do not have issues with, or questions about thier attractions.
It's about THIER bodies...they feel they were born the wrong body. A feeling I can not imagine, nor would ever want to experience.
A man who feels he should have been born a woman hates the fact that he has a penis. He feels he should have had a vagina instead. He hates his flat chest, and feels he should have had breasts instead.
A woman who feels she should have been born a man wishes she had a penis, and hates her breasts, etc.
So far the only "cure" for transgenderism is for the person to under go sexual reassignment surgery. It's not always on par with thier expectations or satisfaction, but it helps them feel a bit more free from thier previous state of mind.
