You are going through what doctors refer to as "The 5 stages of zero" You have already felt Denial, Despair and Anger - you have reached stage 4 - Acceptance.

Best stop there because stage 5 gets messy and can involve the police and/or therapy later in life.

Wait a sec, whats stage 5? Acceptance seems fair enough...

right, anotherone! we must form a club! 😉

I lost my virginity at 16 and a half, and I don't regret it. I'm really glad that I waited til I'd finished High School though, that's one promise I made to myself that I actually kept.

Of course you get nervous for thie first time but I think that by waiting is a good thing of course that if a person rushes you into it that's what they want from you.If a person rushes you into it just say no to that person because you will regret it in the long run.The thing is that you rather be safe than sorry.Like if you gave it up and that person leaves you like right after you will feel very grossed out.I know I have been there.Oh yea by not rushing yourself or being pushed into it you are in control of yourself not that person.

It's a very difficult thing to come to terms with for most people.

Regardless of who you 'do it with', or whether you're 'ready', it's still an emotional thing. You end up feeling slightly violated, if only subconsciously, and it takes time to comprehend what you've done, and what you've lost. It can only make things easier to wait til you're ready and with someone you're sure cares about you, even if they don't stay with you forever, you should really feel that they cared for you when you were together.
