Fight for a day ? Come on, most comic fights only take two, three minutes - if that.
I believe Cap is the better fighter, but the slight difference won't make much difference. What WILL make difference however is the fact that Wolverine can take sooo much more pain/damage than Captain America.
On paper, Wolverine should win. They both are fast, experienced and great fighters, but Cap only has his shield, while Wolverine has his adamantium skeleton, his healing factor and his claws. And a killer instinct too.
in short term yeah.....but if cap is hitting him with pressure points and such his healinf factor will start to overcompensate to keep him alive....unless wolverine is eating steaks during the fight cap can outlast him....but I get what you mean....that's kinda giving cap a huge ben. of the doubt....
If anyone wants to know the real answer...Wolverine should win it but Captain America's status as a symbol gives him the edge.
Think about it...who knows more fighting styles? Wolverine does... Who has more experience...(woverine has been alive twice as long as cap, actively at least). Wolverine does, who has more endurance? Wolverine. Who's slightly stronger? Wolverine...
You also have to realize if you vote for cap, then you agree that batman would beat wolverine...
Wolverine's claws are irrelevant in this fight for the most part. His claws can't do more to Cap's shield than scratch the paint and Cap can easily block Wolverine's swings. But anyway...
he has an olympic athlete's endurace...he cant go for a day....
In addition to making Steve the perfect physical specimen of the human race, it also eliminated the excessive build-up of acid in his muscles. When a muscle exerts itself, it starts creating this substance (I believe it's an acid) that starts to break the muscle down or somesuch. The body naturally removes this acid overtime, but if the acid builds up faster than the body can remove it, the muscle becomes tired. With the removal of this acid, theoretically, Cap's muscles virtually cannot become tired, giving him amazing endurance.
What WILL make difference however is the fact that Wolverine can take sooo much more pain/damage than Captain America.
True, he can. But if you're referencing to his healing factor, it's capable of becoming overtaxed. Wolverine doesn't heal in two seconds; I've seen him down and knocked unconscious enough times. Cap doesn't have to kill Logan to beat him. But this IS where Wolverine's going to truly give Cap trouble, especially if he can't use his claws.
who knows more fighting styles? Wolverine does...
So?
Who's slightly stronger? Wolverine...
Nope. Wolverine's adamantium skeleton puts him at the human maximum. Captain America's super soldier serum put him at the human maximum. So they're equal in terms of raw, brute strength.
Cap's also a much better strategist, the leader whereas Wolverine is always the follower. He doesn't think; he fights and (sometimes) kills. If anything, Cap could out-think Wolverine and apparently it works for Batman.
You also have to realize if you vote for cap, then you agree that batman would beat wolverine...
He could. Maybe he wouldn't, just as Wolverine could beat Captain America. But I think he wouldn't, especially if this is Ultimate Cap. But then we roll into a whole 'nother ball-game.
yeah well as i have said he cant use claws.....but his knockles are adamentium laced....also caps CAN get tired.....The serum gives full humna potential nothing beyond that...also wolverine prob has a better endurance becasue the healing factor eliminated the excessive build-up of acid in his muscles better then caps serum......and rebuilds muscle tissues in seconds....

Wolverine is damn good.
Is he as good with nerve piches as Cap? No
Is cap as durable as Wolv.? Nope
Cap had taken down Namor with nerve pinches, wolverine shouldnt be a problem.
(waits for someone to bring up the namor/wolverine fight, so I may PIS on them)
wolverine will still win the forum said he cant use his claws his knuckles r still adamantium and thet will hurt like,a ***** and wolverine is just to durable for cap wolverine has gotten beaten up by hulk and gets right back up how can captain america wich is about 1% of hulks strength do much to wolverine
Wolverine's claws are not irrelevant in this fight. Do you think absolutely no blows will connect between the two fighters? When Captain america lands a blow, wolverine will be hit by a fist. When Wolverine lands a blow, Capt america will be sliced up....that makes a difference.
When you use a muscle it fatigues...what causes soreness is lactic acid...Lactic acid builds up when there is anaerobic respiration...that means lack of oxygen. Your ability to exert force is dependent upon the amount of mitochondria in your muscles. (Moremuscles=more mitochondria). The mitochrondia produces ATP which allows for exertion, but when there is no oxygen this is when lactic acid must be produced. I am going to say that Captain America has the endurance of a oilympic marathon runner...now you must understand that this already actually makes him superhuman. It is impossible for a normal human to have the endurance of a marathon runner @ captain america's build....physically impossible. But we're going to assume captain america has that. (Marathon runners bodyy's are conditioned to produce less lactic acid because they efficiently transport oxygen into the cells, moreover they remove lactid acid at a greater rate.) At best, that only puts him on par with wolverine and not better. Realistically since wolverine can get his throat slashed through and still continue to fight, Captain america is nowhere near on par with Wolverine. I mean if he can heal minor organs like that, lactic acid will never have a chance to build up in his body...never. If you guys don't understand this....think of Cap vs Wolverine in a drinking contest. Captain america would DIE vs wolverine....Just as he SHOULD in a battle.
And you guys are completely joking yourself about wolverine's healing system getting taxed. Wolverine can get shot and heal, how is Cap going to tax his healing system? And wolverine IS stronger than cap...if you check the marvel handbook Wolverine is rated above normal strength. But logically speaking...imagine you could heal like wolverine, that would put ur muscle capacity way above a normal human being. You guys do know that to become stronger you tear muscle and it repairs itself right? Wolverine's ability to do so @ such a rapid rate would most definitely put him above Captain america.
So jinzin, how on earth was his post good? I don't see one valid point in it.

There's facts for you...In my opinion, captain america being that amazing of a fighter is already a stretch...I mean I accept it, but when exactly did he learn to be so good? Wolverine traveled for like a century learning martial arts before becoming a trained assassin by the gov't....his standing makes sense. Cap america they just kind of tell you that he's an amazing fighter.
Cap is a status symbol and that's the only reason he ever stands a chance. Logically, wolverine should own him.
