me too....I don't like PIS because pis is subjective to the person reading the material and their opinion....I'm not about to defend logan taking a nuke to the face and getting up from it....but that doesn't change the fact that it's such an easy way out of actually having to argue for or against a character......one could arguably call anything PIS with a decent enough reason.....for this...I choose not to play that game...."When someone argues that they have seen evidence of something but that the evidence doesn't count because that character "shouldn't be able to do that" they need to re-think the premise of thier conclusion. A characters abilities are based on what he or she demonstrates he or she can do, not on what someone thought they could do at one time."

Not necessarily. I suppose I could've worded it better and mentioned the skeleton in specific, but his skeleton does keep Cap from simply cutting his head off with the shield, were Cap inclined to do so. Wolverine's healing factor wouldn't save him from that.
The thing is, this isn't true, not for Wolverine. In Wolverine: Snikt! his right arm was burned so badly only his adamantium bones remained; guess what? They were still linked together. Wolverine was still able to use his arm (even though he had to hold it with his left hand). If there is cartilage between his bones that can be severed, than it can also be burned away, and obviously thats not the case.
What about New X-Men, E is for Extinction? Nova burned off all the flesh on his right arm, and guess what? the arm bones were still linked together. They didn't collapse or fall off, which is what they would have done had there been connecting ligaments and cartilage.
How about Miller's Wolverine? When Shingen and Logan fight, Shingen aims a sword stroke at Logans' neck; I've been informed that it was later explained (whether by Miller or Claremont, I don't know) that it was an attack that was meant to sever Wolverine's head, by cutting inbetween the connecting bones; but since Wolverine's adamantium reinforces and links those bones, it couldn't cut through.
And lets not forget Blood Hungry.

or weapon x, or any of his fights vs. class 100's......or proffesor x stated they are bonded..or the several times where a future version ov wolverine's skeleton is shown...but stilll....IN ONE PIECE...
What're your points here? I said his skeleton adds to his durability. If it weren't there, should Cap decide to try and cut his head off, his healing factor wouldn't re-attach his head to his neck.
I think it would be close, but I think Cap can outfight Wolverine. Wolverine has a habit of going all Besereker Barage, and Cap can keep his cool and use that to his advantage.
Cap can fight with his head above wolverine so to speak, which is his real advantage. While fighting talent wise they are near equal in skill, Cap can fight smarter, which is his real advantage in this fight. Wolverines durability is really all that keeps him in the fight for a long time, and what makes it a drag out fight.

wolverine might be near cap in fighting ability, but cap his way more fighting skill. caps training was mostly fighting techniques. wolverines were more well-rounded. he learned CIA and samurai programs and demolitions, vehicles, etc. cap has trained every day since he had the supersoldier serum administered

during his fight with black panther.....BP tried to sneak attack him from behind....cap jumped out of the way and there was a blurb about how he was able to sense a shift in the air pattern to determine that something was coming at him from behind....at bp's speed? sense air patterns?
again.....
WTF....
I know that Cap is Americas hero but i feel like Woplverine can take him, Wolverine is VASTLY underrated by PEOPLE when it comes to his hand-to-hand techniques go. he is class 7 also, and he is stronger than Cap'n and he is more agile, and I say faster, I LOVE Cap'n but i gotta give this too Wolverine this is Wolverines expertise, he has the experience, he has the ability , and hes more ferocious,
Winner:Wolverine, through a long battle, but in the end just edging Cap out with his sheer aggressivness and feral instinct.

I know aside from cap 457 or whatever that issue was...they fought in an annual...i don't know who won that....but that might be the fight you're reffering to....or it cold be wolverine 26 enemy of the state, where cap knocks him out with a hit from the shield...after wolvie had a bunch of other crap happen to him..
This is a recap of the fight between Cap and Wolverine that took place in the annual. Cap blocked Wolverine's claws with his shield but was knocked off balance, Cap manages to side step Wolverine's next attack and launches one of his own but Wolverine dodges it... then a gaint robot shows up and the team up. Not much of a fight.
Also in this annual Captain America told Wolverine that he better hope the X-men never get tired of him because the Avengers would never welcome him on the team... hehe
