Well the Blade that originated in the Tomb of Dracula series was a fruit pie but the BLade in his later appearances was like the movie version. And was a total Badass. The movie version isnt really too far fetched. Just by watching the movies though Blade is more than a match for the movie version of Wolverine. Anybody that kills vampiers at the rate BLade does can not be ignored even by Wolverine. Wolverine8888 I read alot of your posts on wolverine and you are obsessed is all I can tell you.
I noticed a lot of arguments above about fighting ability. Here is a list of the top fighters in marvel (no particular order):
Wolverine, Sabretooth, Cable, Shang-Chi:Master of Kung-Fu, Omega Red, Captain America, Maverick, and Blade.
Keep in mind that these are the best of the best. It is possible I may have missed a person or two but I tried to list characters whose fighting ability was determined by over skill and knowledge, not powers.
sorry about above!!!! I did some more research and here is my final list about the top fighters in the Marvel U.
In no particular order: Wolverine, Sabretooth, Cable, Shang-Chi:Master of Kung-Fu, Omega Red, Captain America, Maverick, and Conan.
Sorry Blade fans. Multiple sources (including Marvel Directory) do not hold Blade in that high esteem when it comes to fighting.
Blade? I've heard alot of this "Blade is a master of every martial art" talk going on. So? This in no way makes him one of Marvel's top fighters. Put him hand to hand against Shang-Chi. Test his steel against Conan's.
I am neither a Wolvie fan nor a Blade fan. I've been hearing alot of "Blade would whip this guy and all these guys together kinda talk" so I chose Wolvie as my champion to take Blade down a notch because I was sure there would be enough Wolvie fans to come out here and back me up (instead all i got was a certain quadrupal numbered fan who has completely discredited himself or herself in the eyes of many.)
Blade's movie is a pop-culture answer to guy's with swords, all hype. And as much as many hear seem to be quite tired of Wolverine, the fact remains that he's a top grade fighter and more than a match for Blade.
The fighters I mentioned above are the highest based on overall experience, fighting/tactical knowledge, learned skills, and fighting instinct. Electra is a good fighter but I'd say she is 1 step bellow the others. As well as Iron Fist (I did think of mentioning him however). Dardevil is also good but I think he lacks the tactical knowledge to be among the best. The Thing, I think he relies too much on his strength to be among the top fighters.

No, No, No, Spidey kinda counts, and kinda doesn't count in this category. His fighting ability is matched by few to none, but it's because of his spidersense that guides the full use of his body in battle. He is experienced in combat later in his story, but in the very beginning his natural spidey sense did most of the work, but it is what makes him spiderman. U can't really lay a finger on him. and with all of his powers at use, he could fight back in a milion more different and effective ways than someone who cant walk on walls, or bounce around faster than you can see, or use extreme flexability and agility to escape almost any situation.
Yes, that's the point, I think its Spiderman's superhuman agility and spiders sense that makes him virtually untouchable, not his fighting style. Same can be said of the Flash, can anyone touch the Flash when he's using his powers? Now you wouldn't count the Flash as one of the best fighters out there, would you?
