I'm only gonna say this once more to clarify: The fighters I mentioned above are the highest based on overall experience, fighting/tactical knowledge, learned skills, and fighting instinct. Daredevil, Electra, and Iron Fist are 1 step below the above. If anyone would like to know where I draw my conclusions, message me or start a new thread in the discussion column.
Anyway, my point was Wolverine outclasses Blade in more ways than one so Wolvie would win.
The only thing Wolverine outclasses Blade in is a popularity contest. Blade is faster, stronger, and equal in fighting ability and he has the keen senses that Wolverine does. Blade has all of the strengths of vampires and none of the weaknesses. That alone should speak for itself. How many times have you seen Wolverine jump across a rooftop or outrun a speeding train in a subway or even do a backflip off a rooftop and land on his feet(and yes this is from the movies). But none the less he as these powers in the comics as well.
Your right, Wolverine is more popular than Blade; because Wolverine is a better character. Blade wasn't as powerful (overall) until his movie. After the realease, Marvel strengthened his character to better reflect the character in the movie.
Blade may be faster and stronger but he is no where near the fighting ability as Wolverine. Blade would lose every weapon he had against Wolverine because Blade's weapons cannot cut thru adamantium. It would come down to an unarmed Blade vs. an armed Wolverine. Blade may be strong, but he wouldn't be able to hurt Wolvweine in the long run. Wolverine has been hit by people far stronger than Blade and has gotten up right away. When it comes down to regenerative abilities, Wolverine dwarfs Blade yet again. Once Wolverine gets those first couple of slashes, Blade will slow down enough for Wolverine to decapitate him.
Actually Blade was like this before the first movie came out. His BLade series that ran from 1994-95 was the inspiration for the movie Blade. And then there was the nighstalker series he was in and he had the black leather and the sword and other gadgets. The healing factor edge may go to wolverine but if BLade could somehow drain some of logans Blood from a bite his healing factor would surpass even Wolverines. The more blood he drinks the faster he heals. It may be hard to do but it is surely possible.
No, blade didn't outrun trains and regenerate at uber speed before his movie. They may have made Blade look cooler than his previous afro-sporting-yellow shirt wearing-blue spandex pant things. But they in no way changed his power. Just the artist. You might get the impression that they changed his power but this is in effect the same as watching the movie and guessing they changed his power (although in this instance they obviously did.)
And unless Blade and Wolverine were in a grapple (which basically never happens in comics) if Blade tried to bite Wolvie he'd have no teeth left with which to consider doing that again.
Wolverine's the better figher, he's far more durable, and wouldn't lose to blade no matter how much techo music is playing in the background.

although off-topic yet again, sabretooth has no tactical fighting ability whatsoever, he was never trained by anyone, in weapon x they just used his savagery, before that he just used his savagery and after that its the same damn thing, so when it comes down to fighting SKILL, sabretooth should definitely not be in that class
wolvie wins this one full on, all of blades weapons do most damage against vampires and normal damagae to humans, wolverines survived mafia hits without a problem, so blade as nothing here at all, his fighting skill is completely outmatched by wolvie, his strength i dont know too much about, but judging from comics i've read, its a little weaker than caps so probably around the same level as wolverines, his titanium blades would get sliced by wolvies claws like a hot knife through butter, hell...wolvie with his claws sheathed would still win
Merciless why dont you read the Blade series I already mentioned in my previous post and then see if you have the same answer. It was in 94-95. The movie came out in 1998. He was also in the Nightstalkers series which ran from 92-94. He has the silver spikes and also the sword. His speed and strength was there also. You obviously didnt read any of the comics.

Give blade an adamantium sword and he wins the prize. Otherwise, he's going down HARDCORE. As for the blade series... I checked the dates, lo and behold, he's right! I thought they changed the comic after the movie... I'll have to go scrounging and get the series so I can see this tomfoolery I'm hearing about.

Sabretooth does have tactical knowledge and combat training. He was a Black Ops agent. Do you really think a Black Ops branch of the government is going to send someone on a mission without porper training? That is like sending a rabid dog to take down a criminal. Yes, they did use his savagery; but they finely tuned it with discipline (much like Wolverine in Japan, although Wolverine has more discipline because of this). Read some comics with Sabes in them and you will find out that he is very smart when it comes to tactical knowldege.
Hello everyone. I usually stick in the anime/manga forum or in the sig and artist forums. I just couldn't resist seeing what could be said here in comic land and i find a feeble fight between Wolverine and Blade? I'm sorry guys, but this has to be a joke. Even if Blade is as strong as said in earlier postings to this thread, he still won't do anything to Wolverine. It really doesn't matter who has the most fans. Wolverine would walk into the fight, dodge some projectiles and the little frisbee. He would break the sword (which by the way is cool, I have a replica of the movie sword) and slice poor ol' Blade to tinsle. Don't make a fight between the two, I just can't bare to see a good character like Blade be made fool putty of. BTW again, does anyone know what cold-cut half-vampire sandwiches taste like? I've only tried full-blood. hmmmmmm 😎
