What does Caesar want with the kids again? I know he's studying them and stuff but does it have anything to do with this new super weapon he is talking about?

It's his face, mostly. They both have that long, lewd face. I suppose Mayuri has it, too, but I don't feel it's as prominent.

Didn't Law say something about them being part of an old government experiment to engineer giant soldiers?

I understand. For me, though, it's quite literally he looks like Orochimaru. He's got that slime factor about him, which is I think what sets the two apart from Mayuri. He's creepy, but I don't consider him slimy.

What if the worst generation just all joined forces? That'd be kinda crazy.

I'm more interested in which emperor they're gonna be going after. I would assume it's the fat lady, since Luffy already has beef with her. No pun intended.

Mayuri isn't slimey. He's just cold.

I don't think Blackbeard would join forces with Luffy. I can't wait until we get to the final war for One Piece.

Big Mom would give Kidd more incentive to join. He has been giving her trouble and it would be cool to see him join forces with the others to take her down. But I know I was thinking Shanks at first. Still am somewhat.

Really want to start watching the anime of this but kind of intimidated by how much there is. Is this one of those series where I can skip a bunch and not really miss anything, or should i go the whole thing from the start?

Well in the anime, I don't know what to skip because I'm not aware of what is and what isn't filler. If I were to recommend parts to skip, Little Garden, Skypiea, and Davy Back.

Its more that watching the One Piece anime would take hundreds of hours. Theres over 550 episodes last I checked.

Also the animation is really shit at the start.

Did this chapter illuminate where the devil fruit come from? It looks to me like normal fruit around the world just changes into it.

My theory regarding that fruit is that Caesar engineered a regular fruit to react to a devil fruit user (the Slime), so he can ingest it and make himself explode (remember the legend about eating two fruits and exploding as a result?). Those fake fruits don't actually give you powers, they only react over the power of a devil fruit user. That would be my theory anyways.

But he actually was alive before eating it, right? At least it seemed to me that he exploded after eating the fruit.

We'll get it explained next week seems to apply to both Naruto and One Piece...
