I'd call it disrespectful, and if there was a pattern of guys being treated that way, sure I would.

It's not just one incident, it's the pattern. Simply fanservice-y art I can brush away, but the writing with female characters often has issue.

Ivankov is a character who becomes a problem once you question him. He is a man who dresses, acts, and talks like a woman. He is a woman trapped in a male body. But he can be a female pretty much whenever he wants. He has nothing stopping him. But he doesn't. Why? Because then he'd be more of a strong woman character instead of a transgender and that would cause the joke to disappear.

And Ivankov is a joke. His enlarged head, his ridiculous outfit, and so on are drawn and framed to be funny. Whether he is technically speaking a strong fighter is irrelevant to that.

And no, I do not believe Ivankov is the kind of transgender that identifies with both sexes, making his gender swapping understandable, because he is virtually a female character in every regard. Now Inazuma is at least forgivable since she does in some way suggest that she is unable to be pinned down by a single label but everything about Ivankov screams female so loudly that the question of "why don't you just stay female" can't help but be stuck on the surface of my thoughts every time I see him.

I don't really see Bon as not being a strong trans character. Of at least, he's not a weak one. Of course, he's pretty ridiculous and weird, because everyone is in One Piece, but in his intro chapter he isn't made fun of for being an okama, he's portrayed as a cool guy. As he is from then on iirc. If you were expecting some deep portrayal of him as a transgender character you're probably reading the wrong series. I don't expect Bleach to get serious with Chizuru being a lesbian either, its not an issue.

So Cavendish has a little alt mode that makes him really strong(well stronger I guess).

And Rebecca wins the fight not through any skill of her own but dumb luck apparently. And Cavendish, the guy who actually won, is too busy sleeping to declare a win.
