Still not sure why the citizens would not bum rush him and kill him though. He's not taking all of them.
The citizens? Come on, Luffy alone has defeated hundreds of opponents by himself, Do Flamingo can turn them to shreds casually with those strings that can surround an entire country. And they would rush into a string clone while getting killed.

By citizens I meant everyone including Luffy, Don Chinjao, Sabo, and so on.Basically I have no idea why any of the citizens would choose to go after these guys since Doflamingo is a proven liar to the public now. If they did then holy crap Dressrosa civilians are almost as bad as the fishmen.
I don't think any civilization will be as bad as the Fishmen(Okay I'm a bit biased) but that would indeed be pretty dumb. Almost as dumb as using a little girl to enslave a country and relying on said girl to maintain the status quo.
Oh and if the Rock dude can control the castle since its made out of rock, shouldn't break ins be like impossible or am I missing something.
Sugar sucks because he powers suck. They're not cool like Pika's and merely exist so Oda can have a crutch. The toy toy fruit makes very little sense and I hate it.
I like Trebol though. Reminds me of the stinky guy from the first tournament in DB.
Mostly because it is a lesser Alabasta since Alabasta was not nearly as cluttered as Dressrosa. However this arc is far and away the best since the timeskip and I would argue better than many arcs pre-timeskip if only for stuff like Sabo and Fujitora.
Edit: Also this arc is better than Alabasta, stop with the nostalgia goggles. The only downside of Dresderossa so far it's the incredibly convoluted plot of the arc as a whole.

Oh yeah, that's pretty obvious, in the other hand you should consider that Doflamingo has very little to lose by taunting people, it may throw them into chaos or it might not do anything at all. But one way or another, he's giving a rationally behind the attacks that he's causing himself by using his strings, that will be useful at least to buy time.
What I truly don't understand is the fact that he's all happy go-luck about this when Fujitora is around, is he really that confident when facing an Admiral? Specially since Fujitora flat out told him he wanted to destroy the Shichibukai.
Coming to think about it, I wonder if Doflamingo survived Kuzan's insta-freeze because the body that was frozen was simply a string-clone.

Don't get me wrong, I like Dressrosa well and good but mechanically it falls flat compared to the best arcs of One Piece, of which Alabasta is my personal favorite(though not technically the best).
Alabasta is a pretty decent arc because the SH fights were good and they were set up quickly and efficiently. It really got good at the very climax of the whole thing, so it's hard to compare with an unfinished arc.
Fightwise the Dressderosa arc is deceptively rich so far, many different characters with a good range of unexpected results and powersets make it quite nice, and we haven't gotten into the main Strawhats match ups yet. The supporting cast in the isle is among the best in all the character arcs so far, sure, you aren't exactly rooting for most of the tourney guys we saw, but most OP arcs pale horribly in comparison with this one. In the "crew does important stuff department", well, they do.
The setting with the gnomes and the toys may be the weakest side of the arc, but Alabasta had a rather generic setting.
