too many posts to read so pologies if this has been stated. but wouldn't it matter what dd thor was fighting? are we talking about the current one? the one that supes died but DID beat? it's not fair if you're looking at a current dd, who's already evolved well past the one supes initially beat. the first dd i think thor would defeat. the subsequent evolved dd's (ie the one that trashed darkseid and any after) he probably could not, considering even supes WITH apok tech couldn't get the job done.

There is some things you don't understand. First, the definition of a god is a male being with supernatural powers that is worshipped by a people. Thus Superman can be a god if he is worshipped. I'm tired of people saying this person will win because they are a god. Second, Thor is not immortal, only long lived (about 1000 years or so). Also, being immortal doesn't mean that one cannot die, only not age (this is a common misunderstanding). Third, Thor has no where near the power of Superman, which who (post-crisis Superman) can officially lift more than 100,000 tons vs. Thors 100-200 ton range. Fourth, Thor's vurnerability is extremely less than Superman's, Darkseid's, and Hulk's (look it up). He would simply get killed by only a few of DD punches. Lastly, it is a fallacy to assume one can win based off the results of whom that person battled in past history. One must only look details and facts of the battle to come to make a sound conclusion (I don't think you properly understand DD).
Now, if Hulk and slow Juggernaut hit Thor in their battles then DD who is many times faster, aggressive, and more powerful, will not only hit Thor, but he will make red paste out of him in seconds. Thor wouldn't even have a chance to respond.
In conclusion, to show that Thor has a chance one must first show how can Thor withstand or defend against the attacks of DD and second show how can Thor hurt Doomsday (remember any energy projection is useless since this is how DD was killed by a being of pure energy).

Classic defination of a " God " is a being with abilites beyond what mortals can understand. And with a "family tree" that sprangs from creation. Like Zeus < Titans < Gaea < Chaos
Thus why there wer immortals that werent designed/classified as "gods". Workshipped or not.

Norse deities werent Immortal. Its correct. But at Marvel Thor -is- as much of an immortal as Zeus and others are.

Again depends. By some sources, the Greek deities for example (that reads Titans, primordial beings and Olympians ) wer indeed immortal in the literally sense of the word. They could be hurt but not killed.

That one is bull. Superman post crisis doesnt lift on a range where he can smoke guys like Captain marvel, Wonder Woman, Immortal Heracles and Thor. As well as Savage Hulk.
If the difference between Superman and Thor was THAT large, he would have smoked him with one punch. He would smoke everyone in fact.
Not to mention Superman like any other struggles to lift things that are and should be laughbale to high brick heroes. Like oil tankers. And 747. Or Daily Planet`s Globe.

Doomsday is faster than who? You are not going into the DOS claims he was faster than the Flash are you?
Doomsday and Superman in that story werent goin faster than the eye could follow.
