One year later i have started a new game after already completing it once. Even though there is nothing new to do the second time around, this game still astounds me on the sheer scale. The only downfall that takes it away from being a game in it's own league are the glitches. However, i still say there is no other Rpg game quite like Oblivion.
Im doing it right this time. I am a breten born under the warrior sign. Choosing these specifications feels like cheating. THe game is so damn easy this way. This is the only combination to go with, I already have 200 magicka at level 19. The first time around i was the imperial, And a god damn lion would kill me at will

Also, there's an expansion? Is it for PC?
2 expansions, Knights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles. Havent gotten either yet, I should get around to it...Im in the mood for adventure batman
They need more pirates, that'd be sweet....like a whole pirate town or something...random fights, no guards, cheap booze...droolio
Also, does anyone have the game on either X360 or PS3? Im thinking of getting it on a console later on if I sell my PC, smoother framerates and all that...does it have bugs on the consoles? My biggest annoyance is the crash-to-desktop while trying to open a door.
Sweet mod, adds 140 new creatures and NPCs to the game, these look awesome:

That tree thing would freak the hell outa me, because you probably wouldn't see it. The rest seem fairly standard-issue, though I like the huge spider.
...
But I like my PC version. More slowdown than I'd get on a console, but I modded it a bunch to make it more interesting, so I'm pretty sure the play experience itself is more fun. I don't know what I'd do without my panther, for instance, so it would be hard for me to make the switch to a console.
...
So these expansions? More quests, map areas, dungeons, items, monsters, etc.??

About the wholo PC issue. PC still has the best performance of all the consoles, both PS3 and Xbox 360. I think PC has a bit smoother looks in graphics than it would on PS3 or Xbox 360. However right now, out of the 360 and PS3, the PS3 is the one which has smoother graphics.
Another thing is that Oblivion mods are way easier to install on PC then on 360 or PS3, and the controls are easier.
There is a beta Multiplayer Oblivion Mode that came out not a long time ago, but right now its in its early beta stages, where you cant even chat.

theres also the money glitch after you complete the vampire quest for the count. After you obtain the cure he rewards you with 5000$, Everytime you talk to him thereafter, he rewards you with 5000$.
There are an ass of glitches on the game im playing, I cant finish the fighters guild or several other quests because of glitches, I hear these can be fixed by downloading patches form live, but i dont have live
I got to see my friend's Xbox360 character today to compare him to mine. He's logged about twice the hours, has some sweet gear (though not a ton better than what I have), and should generally be leagues better.
And I'd kick his guy's ass.
Not bragging, just a fact. He's a "sneaker" who needed to rely on his undead horse to help him take out two armored dudes he met on the road outside of Cheydinhal. Granted, my panther has bailed me out more than once, but it was when I was swamped with opponents, not slumming it against two foes.
Part of it is that he was moronic in choosing his Major Skills....mine are much more practical, easier to level up, and generally more useful. But it also shows that there's more than one way to play the game (which is cool), since my "tank" approach would get utterly skewered playing as him, since he's all about x6 sneak damage and such. We also cast different spells that cater to our play styles.
I also think it might have something to do with the fact that I have the Mod installed that curbs the monster scaling some. Tough people never scaled down to me, so the beginning of the game was murder for me, but they also don't scale up to me as much as they would without the mod running.
Still....2 guys?! I'll chalk it up to superior game decisions on my part and call it a day, but it was fun to see the differences in gameplay experience just from 1 person to the next.
hmm yes ime a full blown wizard, used some mods to add tonnes of new spells and better wizard items (be honest, theres hardly ANY good wizard armours..if any in orgininal oblivion) but to balance it ive got this mod that makes monsters much harder
using a spell i created that does about 700 damage in a 10 feet area, madness
I might have to start a new game in a few minutes, Im in the mood for it...

What kind of new wizard armour you got?
That sounds like some powerful spellcasting, Burning thought.
Spells always seemed so much less reliable to me in this game. I heal myself and other, open locks, give myself light, basic sh*t like that. I'm a Breton so I have enough magic, but trying to mkae it through the game as, say, a Destruction wizard seems like it would be nigh-impossible.

It's possible as thats how I used to play after I got my first fireball spell. But the longer you play like that the more one dimensional you get whilst neglecting your other skills, which eventually meant me getting owned by the first fire resistant beasts i encountered.

hmm cant give you a link sorry, old mod ya see, but i use a combination of this new glass armour i have that comes in black and red and an enhanced Arch-mages robe, as well as a special liches helm and amulet. Together i get about 15x magicka which i end up with about 1700 magicka as well as 50% resistence to magic and physical. Most monsters have no chance but the odd wraith combined with these giants i have in the mod can silence me, burden me for like 500 points and smash me to bits if ime not careful
