There would be no reason to know chinese if nobody understood you. The only reason why you would speak chinese is if you spoke to your family, but i think they'd want you to learn english instead of chinese so their son/daughter could learn the language and be succesful in their lives when they grow up.
But you should at least learn your heritage.....my grandparents are from Mexico and I dont know shit of spanish and Im learning.......

why?
i hate my real parents...i could care less what happened to them and want nothing to do with them or my heritage.
spanish is a language that's actually useful here because almost half of the state is full of mexicans.
