Storm vs. Human Torch

At last...the fruits of my research pay off!

Torch did NOT fly in space flamed-on unaided. Check FF #297 - Torch was actually wearing a special suit.

Boom. My work here is done.

How is it? You still relying on the fact that someone decided Torch could be put out by a fire extinguisher, which is ridiculous.

Not someone. SomeoneS. I've named, and this was just off the top of my head, five examples. You're saying that they're all ridiculous? ALL of them?

Am I saying it's ridiculous that writers believe Torch can be put out with a fire extinguisher? Yes.

After the Inferno story arc, Torch's powers had apparently increased again, in a similar fashion as the Thing's powers were increased when he was in spike form. When the torches powers were further advanced he was not only able to fly in space, he flew through the entire planet Mars...he was left out in space by Kang and it wasnt until the Silver Surfer found him that he made it back to Earth..

this isnt really a fair example though since the torch's powers were increased at the time.

Oh, you're referring to the time he was magically altered to the point where he COULDN'T turn human again? Yeah, they said he created his own oxygen. He was able to stay flamed on underwater too - nothing could turn him back. That was undone, of course. So it still doesn't count.

well if he needs oxygen to flame on then imo storm wins. a while back jean was being mind controlled and storm created a small tornado around her taking away all oxygen jean couldn't breath and passed out in like a minute or so. the same would happen to torch if he was flamed out cause he would be human

yea one time torch accidently burnt storm and she passed out...

when did this happen??

I could see that happening, easily. Just like I could see Torch passing out from an accidental lightning strike from Storm. It doesn't really factor into a fight, though.

imo storm wins cause she has numerous abilities and is smarter and I think she is more expierenced

x-men v fantastic four, an old crossover comic, he accidentally got her on the arm and she still needed dr doom to heal the burns they were so severe...
