And you have not told us why you voted for Bush.

i dont know about kingkoot, but i see a widespread warp in logic, and it goes like this,(since im posting common mistakes in logic)

1-Arguement from authority. e.g. "bush said he stands for family values and morality, and that he is entirely virtuous....so it MUST be true"

2-- Excluded middle, or false dichotomy. considering only the extremes of a situation, and not the "centered" view. e.g. "...therefore anyone against bush is against family values, is immoral, and has no virtue"

well, who would want to vote for that? so they voted for bush

I thought 4 hours on the reasons the country was founded, the reason the bible was written, the meaning on how and why Lucas based Starwars on (clearly he tied all mythologies and their purpose into a story that seems to follow his experiences in Hollywood with the mentor apprentice type system) literature in humanities.

And then you have the "straw man" effect of my family believing in this stuff, and after college I could still come to the same conclusion even after I went to learn from professors that most likely reasoned like PVS. Then I went into looking at events in my life, and how I live my life. I found that Bush represents me better than Kerry. That is how I decided. Kerry represents me in the fact that I can think of 20 things at once and I can seem to ramble on endlessly without making sense as I go on to the next idea.

I voted Bush on every capacity of my life. Believe it, don't believe it, just leave me alone because I'm telling you the truth. That is why I voted Bush. I won't get a commentary on PVS that explains why he voted Kerry, because he won't handle it subtly from what I've seen in the history of posts. It is mostly the same song and dance, and I grow tired of patterns in speech.

Speech patterns don't mean anything. Actions have meaning and they mean more to me than words, if that helps you understand how I vote.

how can you be tired of reading my posts when you only give them a lazy once-over, or ignore them completely?

and i will explain one more time:

strawman tactics are when you attempt to pigeonhole somebody, in order
to make it easier for you to discredit them. you continue to do so even now,
and its sad.

speech patterns mean nothing, and i do not argue that.

patterns in LOGIC mean everything and are the foundation of truth as we know it. if you refuse to learn that then you will be blind forever.

A straight answer would be nice. Really, that would be appreciated. Speaking about issues would help, exactly your stance on them and how they coincide with Bush doctrine.

Basing your decision on the founding father's would persuade me that you would be against the manner in which Bush is taking away everyones freedoms (i.e. the patriot act).

Voting for Bush because you are a bible thumper would make sense. He outright appealed to that demgraphic.

Basing your decision on Star Wars is childish, irresponsible, illogical and a wee bit nerdy. Life is not a movie.

Counselling? I mean to maintain a family without conflict and to resolve conflict on your own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is important.

It is basically saying, you have a potential to become angry, Anakin because you fear you might lose your mother. And Anakin asks, "What does that have to do with anything." Everything, Yoda says.

I'm just saying it is possible the country goes to hell because people can't fix their own friggen problems. It would be much better for everyone that is a parent to know how to parent to raise their children to beable to parent their children to become better parents.... and we went through several cycles of this until the kids start telling kids how to tell their kids they need counseling. What the problem was, initially, was that the parent didn't get the meaning of life taught to their kid, and an important lesson in life to resolve conflict just lost importance. Conflict makes the world's problems. That is why it is important. PVS. I'm serious. If you don't comment on this while thinking of everything on this post, you did miss the point I'm making. You need to remember everything at once without having to look back at notes. It is called patience, and understanding. I hope that isn't what separates the party.

It is difficult to have a mature, intelligent discussion with someone who follows and quotes the doctrine of a hollywood fable as the main thrust of his life philosphy and belief system.

yeah coot, i will dare to say that nobody loves and overanalyses star wars as much as i, but you have just crossed the deepend 😑

and just so you know

1- that was luke, not anakin

2- you are misquoting him

KharmaDog, It is amazing when someone assumes just because someone uses lines from a fable that he is only using words, when he really is focusing on the exact meaning as it related to his own life.

I'm beyond words at the moment for reactions you give me. I'll just say, interesting, I didn't think you would take it over in that direction way out of the park (You know which side of the field). I'm saying just drop me trying to make you think like Bush or think he is great. I'm not doing any of that. Just drop it. Even if it looks like I'm making a direct reason to Bush and Lucas YOU ARE SO FAR OFF. Lucas is a part of me, not the reason I voted for Bush. I'm not who you think you think I am. I have to keep typing that?

and that is whats called rambling and jibberish

unless anyone disagrees and would care to translate it for me?

PVS, check TPM... anakin asks What does that got to do with anything? Yoda says "Everything." After yoda asks Anakin "How feel you." Anakin says "Cold sir." See through you we can..... it is there. After that one Jedi Master says "Your thoughts dwell on your mother."

I don't misquote, I mistype. You love to critisize. Thanks, I do a very good job of that myself. For everytime you find a mistake, I find it for you. Pay attention to PVS, and all will be better in your life.

wow, you have shown me the way 🙄

but yes, you are correct that it was anakin...i guess all the BS i've been taking in on this thread is taking its toll on even my most basic of knowledge.

but anyway, star wars aside (wtf?) i still dont understand what the hell you are asking me as you consistantly shroud the question with endless rambling, and if i ask you to explain better i only get more rambling about "patience" and "the way i think". how about just giving me a damn question that doesnt need a protocol droid to make out, ok?

you ask this bloated nonesense question, i dont understand, and you call ne impatient and tell me i cant think.

"riddle me this batman wooo hooo"

I do know what our difference is. You just chose to ignore a basic problem with society and it very much worries me. If you look at the world around you, how people treat each other, who blames who and such. Think about how a mentor and an apprentice in the real world are functioning. Do they resemble Obiwan and Anakin? My mom and dad? My mom and dad aren't perfect, I know exactly why they had some conflicts, but they are married now for nearly 27 years.

I'm saying this, Take criticism. You will be better from it. I've done so. I have not seen you take sh@t. I've just seen you dish sh@t.

i have seen you dish out BULLshit.
and now you ramble like a batshit madman.
who the hell said i dont care about family? YOU DID

you are STILL using strawman tactics, and you are transparent.

there is no way to 'solve' family disputes, its up to the family.
this has nothing to do with decisions being made on capital hill.

my parents got divorced when i was very young because my dad was f**king another woman, not because of some bill carter signed. what the hell logic are you using? do you actually believe bush is going to fix families? are you that freaking brainwashed? should argueing couples "be made to agree" ? is bush going to "stop people from dying?" are we headed for paradise? are you that dilluted?

no, those questions are good to me.
The answer to should we be made to agree... no
The answer to should we stop people from dying... impossible

What is important is for us to extend our personal limits if we really want to live in peace. In any relationship, everyone has to want it to work really bad. If something someone does drives you insane, you have to deal with that and tolerate it for world peace. Basically you have to tolerate almost everything to live in peace short of someone one trying to kill you (Osama type wack job).

You know what that means about me... I pretty much tolerate anything you believe in whether you think I do or not. I'm typing "ramble" because that is how I think of words. They come out as I'm thinking. Adjust to it my young padawan. You can't stop the change anymore than you can stop the sun from setting.

I'm not trying to use any debate definition tactics, infact I was never in debate, I was always in Marching Band and physics and chemistry. I'm highly math based in my thinking, not debate.

"Lucas is a part of me, "

I am not going to go into how deeply disturbing that comment is. I do know that things are starting to make a little more sense though, but not in a good way.

He's Supershadow. I knew it.

cornponious

"i think bush is killer cool!!!"

"your comments will be forwarded"

🙄

If you don't go deep enough, of course it is scarey, you just ignored any good meaning that starwars offered. I'm talking every bit of advice that Yoda gives to padawans and what Alec Guiness speaks of to Luke.

And please don't misunderstand that to mean literally. I'm only focusing on how it can apply to living with people. If it is still disturbing, I guess I can't believe to tolerate people and be patient with my own kid because that is just too crazy according to how you understood me and what I mean.

I didn't say Lucas is perfect, I'm just saying whatever starwars is has effected my life to the better. There is something to be learned by how Anakin fails and how Luke succeeds. And how Yoda lifts that X-wing out of Degoba. Anakin couldn't control anger, Luke controlled his anger and never gave into hate, and Yoda teaches the meaning that if you think you can do it, you will be on your way to do it, or if you think you will fail, you will fail (plan to fail). I'm not as deranged as what your mind will think. Control your fear, fear is the path to the darkside 🙂

Nerd or not, it has significant truth to human behavior.
