well you should explain it because i have no idea what you said.

do you mean that someone can be a good gay person so long as they dont have gay sex?

but anyway, this is what i mean by judgemental.

the last time you met a straight couple, has the vision of the 2 of them screwing ever popped in your head? have you ever equated their existance as a couple with them having sex? or do you just see them as a couple, and although you know they DO have sex, the thought never really crossed your mind because you dont really care? you probably wouldnt care right? i know i dont.

so why is it that the term 'gay' instantly invokes a vision of 2 men screwing in your mind? im repulsed by the image as well...but i am also repulsed by the mental image of really fat people screwing...so guess what? i dont think of it.

Very well stated, P.

and if you HAVE to think of people screwing to make a mental connection to the word "gay" try thinking of two hot lesbians, and you may not be so repulsed.

LMeffingAO!

were f*cked.

I was happy with the election results, we are now done with the gay issue.

I don't think we are done with the gay issue. Just because you don't want to talk about it doesn't give you the almighty power as to when discourse should end. The party you voted in made it a pretty big issue of it, therefore it is a relevant issue worth discussing.

My god you need alot of attention...

Ok. Gay people are just like us. I don't care what they do in their home. If you take that as it is, you understand my point.

I always seem to be a judge to you? I'm being sarcastic 80% of the time out of habit. I'm not judging anything.

My reaction to gay pride is, "Why do you need pride about being gay?"
I don't need to show people how straight I am in a parade.

I know... Let us have a white man march on washington because lately, whites have gotten shafted on how other people think they are always racist. It is neverending.. I can get more sarcastic.

Personally I don't care if they all do each other in their own home. All I care is that they don't make a big deal about being gay. I don't really care if someone likes to love animals on their farm. I do want Marriage to be a man and woman, but a civil union or something called Gay Marriage should be made to pacify the people who really care about titles.

I don't see religious people as not accepting gays. My friend's cousin (an adopted child) was accepted at his sister's and his wedding (to opposite sexes/ Their own weddings). He wasn't outcast from family or religious events.

Tell me how 2 women or 2 men are supposed to have children? Scientifically it just doesn't make sense. Yeah adopt, and then? The kid grows up and he is tossed around mentally because he/she doesn't have the normal parents. If you don't believe it will happen, just go and check out a play ground when kids talk to each other. It's not pretty.

Anyhow, Iowa had this judge that took a case to divorce a lesbian couple. The judge shouldn't have even looked into the case by law because Iowa doesn't recognize lesbians as marriage. The judge wasn't voted out. People do forgive. You just don't hear about it.

Why do all republicans bring up that same tired argument every time someone says anything about gay marriage? Can't you see "gay marriage" was a diversion from the war in Iraq? Bush knew he'd motivate conservatives to vote if he said "well if you elect that guy he's going to give gay people the right to get married!"

Exactly cheese, not only did bush lie about what's going on over there, he diverted the attention from his tremendous blunder by throughing the gay population to the wolves in order to secure the votes of the religious right. Gotta love politics

Ok, people from Canada... move to the US if you don't understand. And Cheese (making opinions about my opinions)... I wasn't talking about what you are referring to. I don't know where you connect the dots. I had to explain my position, have, and i'm not repeating it. Go do a nice search on the forum to find out. I posted over 300 times now. 70% of the posts are on GWB.

The reason this issue must be dealt with is simple: It is a core issue with Bush supporters. All Bush supporters who are also born-again-Christians firmly believe in their heart of hearts that all geigh people, at some point in their lives, made a choice to be geigh. This is why they believe geighs are sinning, and this is why they believe geigh couples should not have the same benefits that married heterosexual couples have.

And it's like PVS said, they are incapable of looking at a geigh couple without thinking that at home in their closet they have a years supply of anal lube, or, in the case of women, 4 dozen different dildos. Most geigh couples are not into sex any more than most straight couples. They just can't see that this couple might actually care about eachother on more levels than just the sexual.

To be sure, there are many geigh people who did choose to be geigh, because it might seem like something new to try. But there are just as many, if not more, people who are geigh because they truly feel that they were born that way.

What you must ask yourself is, "When did I choose to be straight?"

I was referring to you bringing up the fact that gays can't have kids and if they adopt they will have emotional baggage.. I don't know what your position is but I know what you said in that quote and I know that I don't agree. I think they kids are better off with two gay parents then being property of the state. It pretty much the same argument from the republicans on that issue. If it isn't "protect sanctity of marriage" its "gays can't have kids!"

yeah, the only emotional baggage kids with gay parents would have would be from getting endlessly harassed by the children of bigots.

Ok, people from Canada... move to the US if you don't understand.

No thankyou, I am quite happy where I llive. Unlike you I also do not believe that geography affect one's ability regarding cognitive thought or intelligence. You get upset because you cannot get your points across to others, and blame their inability to understand on the basis of where they live or that they don't personally know you.

I do not believe that I have said anything that would denote that I suffer from a lack of intelligence. Nor does my country's people lack the abilityto understand other nations political goings on.

I take deep offense that you would insult an entire nation in trying to support your personal position.

Cornipus,

And you have to misspell gay because you are uncomfortable, or you feel the need to type cool? I'll guess it is because it is to be cool. Cause cool is what is in. And people care about cool. People want to be accepted.

Ok. I don't care if I'm accepted in to society. I am. And I don't care that I am.

Geighs... as corn put it, make the biggest deal about being accepted in my eyes. I get to the point where I think, "What is the big deal?" "Who cares if you have pride?" "I don't feel the need to tell everyone I'm straight."

That is the only thing I don't like about geigh people. They care what other people think.

For all those that aren't religious, Marriage needs to be separate from "geigh" marriage for one reason I can think of. It is how children are born = Marriage. Two people of the same sex want to be life long roommates = Geigh Marriage. It has to be that way because Marriage is traditionally Man and Wife. Not Man and Man. Or wife and wife, or wifeman and manwife. Marriage is recognized in religious ceremonies and if you let "geighs" join that ceremony, you get one thing that doesn't happen. Offspring. After a horse and a donkey have a mule, the mule cannot have any offspring. There is a new name for the offspring of a horse and donkey because it is no longer the same. It is not able to survive on its own. That is the key. I'm using symbolism PVS, I'm not calling "Geighs" Mules. Not what-so-ever. I'm pointing out that the union doesn't supply life. That is the only part of the "Geigh" issue that concerns the Bush party.

Everyone that is critisizing me, understand it is the hardest thing ever to "debate" when I have no intention of debating, and not only do I have to debate when I don't plan on it, I have to defend myself against 4 people who see the same way. There is nothing that you can say to make me believe you are capable of taking on 4 minds at once.

so what of sterile couples

and what of the fact that gays can adopt,
and many MANY children are orphaned?

is it really all about breeding? then a good percentage of straight marriages are invalid i must say

All I was saying PVS, is that the name of the marriage has to be different. I didn't say Gay Marriage is bad. Kids can benefit from having 2 adult parents watching them.

Marriage is about breeding.
I don't know what Gay Marriage will be, maybe just a civil love bond.
This issue doesn't really have importance to me. I'm not gay, so I don't care. I won't have a say in what the gay community wants, so I don't care.

Are you serious? You confusing marriage with unprotected sex I think with your comment "It is how children are born= marriage." People don't get married to produce offspring, they get married to signify their love. Personally I don't see whats wrong about gay marriage, if your not gay then how does it affect you?

And the other argument you brought up "why do they make such a big deal about being gay" was brought up by someone else in the homosexuality: chosen or genetic thread. They aren't trying to get get everyone to think it is OK to be gay, they are simply tired of having to hide their sexuality which is a big part of their personality, and feel like by being gay they have something to be ashamed of. Gay's have pride parades to unify with other gays and show the world that they aren't scared anymore. They aren't trying to announce to everybody that they are gay, just that there are gay people out there and they deserve the same rights as the next human being.

Man Converts Lions to Christianity

The 46-year-old man leaped into the den of African lions and shouted "Jesus will save you," according to the report. He also said, "Come bite me" before one of the male lions attacked and bit the man. --- this story is more funny than you Afro Cheese.

I really didn't say I hated gay marriage at all. Don't try so hard to read my style of writing. I write like stereo instructions. Sorry. It is a really really bad habit I picked up with 4 years of electronics textbooks

Not to be rude but I don't understand what you're talking about. You type like stereo instructions? I'm not sure what that means. But I figured you didn't "hate gay marriage", I just asked you what was wrong with allowing gays to get married. And the fact that they can't have kids in no way prevents them from having a healthy marriage. Anyway I think we are a little off topic.

First I was insulted by your comment about canadians. Then I read.

Marriage is about breeding.

Well I am married, have been for a while. My wife cannot have children because of previous operations because of a ailment that she continues to have. I knew that we might not be able to have our own children before I asked her to marry me. Marriage is not about breeding.

I am noticing that your very narrow focus of the world and limited belief system often results in you putting your foot in your mouth. I also think that this belief system might be common enough to result in GW being elected by a greater than 50% margin and that scares me.

KharmaDog, you just took my points and turned my sarcasm I feel about the whole thing into this Opinion that I appear to hold.

I don't hold the opinion you believe I hold. Just don't attempt to understand how broadly I am thinking. I didn't even say that people MUST have children. The only way you do get children is a man and a woman. Do I really need to say that? No. I don't know how you take my sarcasm about the whole issue of Marriage the wrong way.

It is SARCASM. ALOT of what I typed is because I don't really care about what people believe. Just believe it.

You accused me of alot of things that don't concern me. I just don't care that you took my point of view exactly opposite of what I understand. It is like you are from another state or country, and you are. I just notice that people in this state don't need me to type things over and over and over and over and over and please tell me and this way how do I understand it this way could you tell me about this little part right here and why this could be this way and 4 other people are asking me about the same thing so I post another comment to answer them and then someone else thinks that post is for them and then I gotta type to this other guy that typed 30 minutes ago and then I finally catch up and finish my post just to find that I need to post another one and type 4 more posts for every one post that you made.

Ok. You understand how bombarded it is being the only Bush supporter that responds to any question? Just be thankful that I am more patient than anyone I've seen on these forums. I have yet to see anyone treat me with the benefit of the doubt. There is no understanding (my opinion) about how hard it is to respond to everything and do it coherently. You aren't being asked to do it, but believe me, it is the toughest thing I've done on this forum right now.

I still have never heard a viable reason for banning gay marriage considering we have seperation of church and state.
