I'm a rubbish debater, I've never once had the inclination to join in a discussion of any sort... 😕

Anyway in my vast and ancient experience women can be just as much up themselves as men when it comes to debating. Infact I love to let them roll with it on purpose when I know full well they're wrong because it's so funny watching them fall flat on their faces. However I'm not sexist I let men do exactly the same thing when they're convinced they're right when they're not! 😄

Trust me - If a guy hates to be proved wrong by a female - chances are he will hate to be proved wrong by a male also: It's just that Thanks to alpha male hierarchy you can't show your displeasure when bested by another guy - but with a female you can make a lot of noise to distract from the fact that you were mistaken about something.

The problem isn't so much about conceding defeat when wrong tho' - it's about the presumption that a man must be right if it's a women making the counter argument. Worst of all is that its not just men who make this mistake - women are far more likely to take men more seriously than other women.

The sad truth is that non-sexist women are just as much of a minority as non-sexist men. Our only chance is to breed a new race of smarter people and take over the world.

From my experience, guys will mostly keep their mouths shut in a debate situation if they know nothing or not much.

Women tend to steam in all guns blazing.

As I said, my experience.

ive had the same experience, its not all women of course, but alot of them.

thats true everywhere, its been said that the structure of the curriculum (here at least) suits girls more than boys

^ One of the teachers at school once mentioned that girls perform better in an all girls school, whole boys performed better in a co-ed.

i heard something similar to that also.

It is best to put pupils together with their own categories as far as it is possible to do so ie same abilities, same age, same gender etc.

See now this probably isn't as stone cold a fact as the person would have you believe and if the person is a female, proving my point.

Women say things far too matter of factly according to how they feel. That's the most annoying thing.

alpha, even i'll admit that women seem to do better than guys in school, its a fact in ireland. there are a couple of guys who do really well, but the majority of high scorers are female, and ive read its pretty much the same everywhere else... unfortunately
