I think thats more because it's quite clear he's stripped of his powers and sent to Earth so he is normal in that sense. It would all hinge on how long he is powerless and I think this will determine whether or not the movie is true to the feeling of Thor as a powerful 'god' or other being.

From the trailer though it does appear exciting and action packed but I don't get a sense of an adventure like I did from the GL trailer. I know the GL trailer has come in for a lot of stick for the humour but it feels as if there's more of a journey there.

GL is a cosmic cop, so obviously he'll have more adventuring. Mythologically of course Thor and co had adventures but in the MU their power levels are such that he can treat his natural enemies the trolls like nothing, so there is less need for adventuring and the bigger threats are handled by Odin.

Maybe the movies will present a more intriguing premise a bit closer to the mythology.

An interesting visual concept - just Chris Hemsworth in closeup in red filtered light, and some text. I thought it might have more characters and be layered, but maybe this is just the next teaser poster, is all.

And the image of Idris Elba as Heimdall is growing on me.

Hammer toys could be a problem. Kids will see the movie, get the toy and start throwing it at their parents or just whacking them across the face with it.bangin

I actually thought that looked awesome. Then I saw it was walmart last week. Its jus empty rubber shaped like the Mjolnir. Not gonna hurt much with that.

That's fine, then. If you want a true replica, go to a high end comics store or find a metal-smith.
