Thor Movie

I wouldn't mind seeing Hela make an appearance.

But if I had my choice for Villians, Surtur for sure. He's the next big thing as far as I'm concerned.

Surtur would be f'n awesome, but that would be a CGI nightmare lol.

Not if they did him in the same vein as King Lauffey.

Of course with a couple of instances where he gets huge and extremely fired up. Like a giant climatic battle 😛

I don't know why they moved Superman: Man Of Steel into the same summer as Thor 2; six weeks apart for the release dates. Two somewhat similar characters in two competing films. Man Of Steel should have stayed in it's Christmas 2012 window.

Well, the difference is Surtur is generally engulfed in flames. Or at least part of him is always on fire. Plus he's generally WAY bigger than Lauffey (and more powerful) was. Still, I'd love to see it. Of course, if they're going for a trilogy, he'd be a fitting end villain.

Finally got to watch this (it was actually one of the movies available to me on the flight to Canada). Have to say that for the most part I quite enjoyed it. The casting was solid, the action scenes were pretty impressive (especially the one where Thor cuts loose against the frost giants), and it was a solid, entertaining movie.

The only complaints I really had were that too much of the movie was devoted to Earth, and I never really felt Loki's grand plan was that... I dunno, impressive? It seemed a bit inconsistent at times.

If only they included some of those scenes. I wouldn't be surprised if some idiot higher up interfered.

I watched, honestly I don't think adding most of them would have added anything to the movie itself. Some of them I'm glad they did leave out.

The one I did see I would have most liked to have had in it though would have been the one when the Warriors 3 and Sif enter the town, and Volstagg

Spoiler:
picks up the car with one hand and sneaks up and knocks out the two shield agents with ease
. I think it would have been nice to have cause one Volstagg is a favorite of mine 😄 , and also because I think it would have done what I think the movie was kinda missing. That was a way to put the difference between Asgardians and Humans into perspective by having them interact with stuff we can put into a mental image. Not to mention what Volstagg did also puts into perspective just how tough and powerful the Frost Giants were if they can give him a fight. It also puts into another perspective why they are such powerful foes for someone like Thor if given a chance.

I don't think all of them should have been put in.

They should have included the scene you mentioned, and the fight with Odin/Frigga. With a little touch up, they should have also included the scene introducing us to the Warrior's Three/Sif and the moment where Thor gives the woman the cup. It would have been about an extra 10 minutes or so and would have added some of the things I felt mixing.

i'd have liked to have seen the first one between thor and loki put in. it would have set up their relationship nicely i thought. the one with the parents arguining would have been good too. would have fleshed things out more.

one thing i was wondering: the guy breaks thor out, then tells him to leave in the morning, but suddenly a drunken night of camraderie changes that? or was the breakfast that good?

If you find the idea that one drunken night together is enough for them to become BFF's unlikely, you clearly haven't gotten smashed with enough Aussies.

Those all would have added a nice little extra I agree

That one two would have been nice.

But personally you kind of got all of that already to some degree. They would have been nice but not needed imo. Feel free to think differently its a matter of tastes.

I jsut think the one scene would been nice to have just to show the kinds of threats the asgardians and frost as a whole can be and not just a few individual people. Plus it adds a better context to Thor's feats involving the Frost Giants.

So at one point in the movie Erik Selvig is talking about Shield. He says he has an associate who has had dealing with them before. Who was it?

Hulk 🙄

No. He says the gamma scientist was never heard from again. He then says he will e-mail an associate, meaning a diffrent person as Banner disappeard, who has dealing with them.

^ Well the obvious assumption would be Banner, but when you put it like that, couls be someone else. Samson maybe? It was defo a reference to the Hulk Universe.

Maybe it was Sam Sterns.

Or maybe he was the person Selvig said was seized by SHIELD, after Banner was caught in New York...

It's open to debate.

Was Betty a Gamma scientist??
