I think thats more because it's quite clear he's stripped of his powers and sent to Earth so he is normal in that sense. It would all hinge on how long he is powerless and I think this will determine whether or not the movie is true to the feeling of Thor as a powerful 'god' or other being.
From the trailer though it does appear exciting and action packed but I don't get a sense of an adventure like I did from the GL trailer. I know the GL trailer has come in for a lot of stick for the humour but it feels as if there's more of a journey there.
