Well, he (Don Payne) did contribute to the script for this film.

Let's just keep remembering: This is Marvel Studios in control, and this ain't Fantastic Four.

It's nice that Branagh is staying as a producer. I hope this isn't more of Marvel's strongarming behind the scenes...
I don't know who they would go get now. I think Matthew Vaughn would be involved in more X-Men at this point than going back to work on Thor. Someone who would continue the style Branagh created...

Off topic, if they ever brought in Amora the Enchantress, what do people think of someone like Aly Michalka playing her?

That would be awesome. I think Amanda siefried would be a bangin enchantress also. (pretty sure she's Nordic too)

New concept art, one for Balder

I hated this movie, The acting was horrible (aside from Natalie Portman), the direction lacked win, and need I point out that the Warriors 3 and Sif seemed to be there because they were promised jobs? They weren't needed... It sucked! When they hired the director, they obviously forgot that Thor or any medieval sword and sorcery film should be handled by Ridley Scott. I gave it 1-2 out of 5 stars.

^Words fail me.

--------------------

Thor's made $180,577,000 domestically -as of July 31st- and $267,166,560 abroad -as of July 24st- for a world wide total of $447,743,560.

It's no Iron Man/Spider-Man level block buster but the movie is still a great success. Green Lantern being the biggest flop in history also makes Thor look great in comparison.

I doubt it'll happen but I hope Thor can reach the $450 million mark. Like the character, the movie has had crazy legs so I can hope. If all us comic book fans storm the theaters for a single weekend, it's a possibility.

The Thor DVD/Blu-ray will have a short film with Agent Coulsen

a clip in the from it

http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/168101-agent-coulson-stars-in-marvel-one-shot-the-consultant

he mentions someone called 'The Consultant'

I don't know why, but I always liked Agent Coulson. He's not really in the comics but it makes sense in that he's more of Fury's "right hand" guy. Though it's weird that Maria Hill hasn't shown her face in any movies yet.

Marvel should add Agent Coulson to the Marvel universe

after all DC has done that with characters that have appeared on various superman tv shows and adding them to their universe.

Huh. I coulda swore Thor had already hit home-video stores.

Yes, I read the link. Mine was a literal 'Who?' As in, why would we trust someone to make their feature film debut with this?

All right; after a long reading on of Brian Kirk's bio, it seems he's got potential; I'm just concerned about his lack of feature film experience. But working on Game Of Thrones gives him some cred, and like Kenneth Branagh he's Irish born (I just think THOR should be handled by someone outside of North America.)

Also If they want to have the sequel set more in Asgard, I can see it something like Lord Of The Rings, Thor & The Warriors Three's go off on some quest.

I'd like to see the Enchantress, the Executioner, and even the Midgard Serpent make appearances.
My biggest issue with "Thor" was how they disregarded the Destroyer completely. With the next major creature Thor faces, there not only needs to be buildup, but the film needs to lead up to a grand battle between Thor and the adversary. I think that the Midgard Serpent is a great choice for that type of role.

While I agree Midgard Serpent is a great candidate for a Thor sequel, Mangog is another villain I was thinking as a great adversary for Thor in the sequel since this would give the reason why Odin doesn't want Thor to wipe out the frost giants.

I couldn't watch that review for more than 30 seconds. That was cringe worthy.
