My friend has actually read the halo books and against my will told me in detail about wot master chief can and can't do
Alright guys i am sorry to say this but samus would get her ass handed to her on a plate not bcause she's a woman but becasue master cheif is actually superior to all humans becasue he is not actually human he is super-human have you guys watched dark angel with jessica alba he is a lot like that he can do things which possibly samus can't.
ok for example the suit he wears can't be worn by normal humans because it's soo powerful the force of the suit during movement would break their bodies in half thats why in the game you only see "him" wear that suit and not any of the other humans it's because they can't
so if samus tried to wear that suit she would be in for a world of hurt this is a testament to what type of human being he is
also he is the best tactician out of all the humans if you read the books he was made the leader out of the super human soldiers that were created because he was the smartest and most rescourceful imagine him like cpt america except double that. So he could simply out smart samus
also for example in the books master cheif got into a brawl and it comments that how he had noticed that everything was moving in slow (like in tthe matrix) but then he realised that everything wsn't moving slowed down it was because he was moving at ridiclously fast speeds also he already has super human strength but with the suit that it enchanced ten fold i think there was one scene in the book where he punched someone once and killed them outright. Also there was a scene in the book where he got into an arm wrestle with one of the other soldiers and broke his hand clean off
thats why in the game epsecially in halo 1 if you have played it his melee attacks do soo much dmg. And hitting someone once or twice on the back of their head is like an instant kill
so bascially what i am trying to say is that samus will lose not because she's a woman but because she is just a human in a super powered suit
where's master cheif is beyond human levels he is super human in a super powered suit he has the brains as well as the physical capabilties to kill samus with ease
he could simply punch her face and believe her face would spin 180 degrees across her neck
so physically he has her on check
and seeing as he is soo tactically minded and rescourceful remerber master cheif is taking on a whole species more or less by himself both the flood and the other group he could easily outsmart samus with ease.
so look to be fair it would be an interesting fight but master chief has too much going for him physically as well as mentally the only thing samus has is the technology which is only really one plus.
he could box up samus and send her on a first class trip to the galatic crematorium and be in time to catch the next epsiode of the Simpsons
yes, you gotta love the backstory on chief.. its like a 1st grader wrote it.. "OMg and like.. hes super already.. and then when he puts his suit on hes super super.. and can kill everything! omg its so cool.. "
however with samus its a bit more down to earth.. this girl watches her parents murdered at the hand of space pirates and she's rescued by the chozo, wherein she learns their ways.
Reasons why samus is not some normal woman :
- Can take the pressure of moving at high speeds during :
- Jumping
- Flipping
- Sprinting
- Vaulting through the air into a tight somersault
- Shoulder charging into highly dense matter
(while some actions may be enabled through her suit.. I'd like any normal person to try and do even half of the things she does, using her suit)
- Has already made her reputation as a universal class bounty hunter,
which means she's getting better and better with each assignment.
- Has gone through 6 games, each time defeating an army of space
pirates and whatever wacky genetic creation they come up with...
by 'herself' [no earth army.. no cortana backing up her every
move by unlocking doors, hacking security, listening to enemy
communications etc]
well ive played both halos and most of metroids, and id have to give it to john. Samus kicks ass and all, but i say the chief would win. id like to mention that the chief isnt a robot with a human brain or anything like that. His suit is what makes him a "cyborg" because its like a protective computer suit. anyway, its a stupid thing to compare by weaponry and damage. theres no way to figure out what type of damage samus' beams would do to MC, or the other way around. For all we know, beam weapons wouldnt even do anything to MC. Either way, MC is a lot stronger. Hes a super human, and can run as fast as a car (not in the game maybe, but in the storyline to halo hes supposed to be able to). Plus, he can flip tanks that weigh over 10 tons. He could run up and crush samus with his bare hands before she could even charge up that arm cannon. Then again, Samus could roll up in a ball and bomb his ass. Oh, MC could snipe samus in the face before she could even spot him, since he gets a sniper rifle and she doesnt. And he could stick her with a plasma grenade and instant kill her. His shield recharges on its own too, if he could take cover for a few seconds.
Well, it would be a close call but im giving it to MC. Just thought id throw in all that info since no one else really seemed to stick up for him much while samus was getting her biography written left and right.
oh, and id like to add that samus's background isnt a whole lot deeper than MC's. They were both normal humans, abandoned or orphaned at a young age, raised by some sort of military/fighting group to be masters of combat and physical strength/agility, sent into battle against aliens, supreme warriors of mankind, etc. They're too much alike for anyone to say "MC/Samus is the cliché science fiction hero, the other one is so much greater." Plus, neither of them exist or will ever duke it out, so its not even worth getting worked up over.
no no dude master chief was born and bred to be what he is today samus wasn't the fan boys even said it themselves she watched her parents get killed and the chozo saved her ass and then trained her
master chief's training goes back way farther than childhood he was engineered to how he is today.
samus was just trained from say like what the age of 4 or 6 or something like that
look as i said before master chief would break her across his knee trust me he is beyond samus
also you comment that samus is a world class bounty hunter and she has this reputation
that's nothing in comparision to master chief's reputation if you play the game and read the book master chief is a considered by the other species (epsically the brute's race) to be their equilavent of the "devil" himself that's why when you play halo2 they run around calling him "demon" it's because they are afraid of him and see him in that light
you forget samus has killed a few beer swilling b'o smelling priates
master chief has killed "millions" of brutes and held back the flood a species which could and would take over the whole universe if it could.
Thats why the other species is trying to use halo so they can wipe out the flood.
So when Samus starts to deal with problems of that magnitude then we can say she is on master cheif's level
