Master Chief vs Samus Aran

She destroyed an entire planet's worth of evil creatures in Echoes... Every game she's in involves Samus vs. a huge freaking army.

The genetics behind Chief have nothing to do with anything, as his entire physical make up was altered to make him better. (You can't train someone before they are born, btw) Samus is the same way, and both have very similar upgrades. (Samus is slightly more agile, MC is a tad stronger, as far as I can tell) Master Chief is a great tactician, highly intelligent, and very very well trained. Samus is also very very smart, and was trained by a race that has perfected war to the point where it is obsolete. Human tactics, as well as technology, pales before theirs. DO NOT underestimate the Chozo.

Samus's suit is much more advanced than Chief's is her weapon is built into the suit and never needs to reload, where MC's guns do. I already stated that in a fair fight, Chief would have no way to use a sniper rifle, as Samus is faster than him in ball form. If he tries to run, she's still got super missiles. Samus's cannon has better range than Chief's throwing arm, plasma grenades won't help much. Chief's shield recharges, but it is fairly weak. A few shots from most of the guns in the Halo world will kill him pretty easy, and Samus's cannon is in no way as weak as the Halo guns.

GalacticStorm keeps saying MC could win cuz he could beat up a woman he finds on the street...

just giving my opinion is all. Galactic storm knows where its at.

MC is cooler though cuz hes nothing but the peak of human technology. He kicks as much/more ass as/than Samus, and was only helped by his fellow man. so id like to think MC would win cuz he is supposed to represent mankind at its best. If he lost, it would mean we suck.

maybe we should just argue over who could win without the battle suits. take off the power armor and give both of them a rifle. Or give MC an arm cannon and let him roll up in a ball. I dunno.

Also, anyone who says samus loses cuz shes a chick is a moron. She could kick MC in the jewels and take him down right there. But if hes super human he might have loins of steel. hmmm... 😛

I got involved about 10 pages back and found out it was useless to argue.
I'm personally going to write a Metroid novel just so i can say all this crazy shit about how she was this and that because it was in a novel and not in the game.

you forget samus has killed a few beer swilling b'o smelling priates

master chief has killed "millions" of brutes and held back the flood a species which could and would take over the whole universe if it could.

Thats why the other species is trying to use halo so they can wipe out the flood.

So when Samus starts to deal with problems of that magnitude then we can say she is on master cheif's level

i am telling you this stuff from the "paper back novel" and then showing where it's represnted in the game.

becuz i have read some of first few pages of this thread and not many people seem to understand what master chief is actually capable of

where's i have read through so manny fan boys arguments about samus that i simply have to fall down and laugh

you see the type of arguement that dizzle is representing is very inaccurate if you want to put a character up against another character you have to take all their abilites into account on just the one's you pick and choose from this is why it's a "versus" forum

master cheif has these abilities at his disposal so waht would be stoppping him from using it against samus.

you can't say oh because he never did that in game you won't take his other abilities into account that's not right because then your negating half of his capabilites thus putting him at a disadvantage because you will be putting a handicap on him.

just because it never happened in the game doesn't mean he can't do it

if he was able to do everything he did in the book then basically master chief would become like a god when we play with him on halo and the game would lose it's feel and enjoyment.

and people keep talking about the chozo and being master's of war so friggin what.

If master cheif was fighting "them" then yes you could say that

but thats like me saying "oh i got trained by bruce lee therefore i must be as good as him"

ok the chozo taught her how to fight but does she have the eons of experience that race had at fighting and moreover than not she may have chozo blood but she's not "them"

so therefore you can't say that just because the chozo are masters at it doesn't mean she's gonna be a master at war

also dizzle what i was trying to tell was that master chief was literally born to fight thats why he was born to fight in wars like this.
samus wasn't she's a bounty hunter that got taken in by the chozo who decided to fight against the aliens.
whereas master chief was genetically engineered to fight against aliens thats waht i was trying to get across in that last post.

It's kind of like Samus's history, which was most likely written by another person with the approval of whoever made the Metroids. They provide information of the circumstances of her childhood and her suit.

Now, in the Halo series, there isn't a scrap of detailed hsitory. Sure, there is a bit in the Halo instruction manual, but not detailed. So someone decided to give the history of what happened before the Halo construct was found. And as we can see, GS spoke true, that Chief was raised to fight, whereas Samus was raised by the Chozo, who decided to give their "can-of-whoop-ass" technology before they died. At least I think they're dead...😕...I heard "Long-dead" in Zero Mission somewhere when she discovered that statue thingy, remember?

I think someone way back said that Samus's suit was one of a kind, that Chief's wasn't. How could this be? It was made for him. You don't see every soldier in the Halo series wearing the MJOLNIR armour.

About a day before the events of Halo happened there was about 20 MJOLNIR troops left. 15 were on the planet Reach and 5 (including Master Chief) were sent on a mission to steal a Covenant ship. Nearly all of the Covenant army showed up and over whelmed the planet Reach destroying everything in its path. Chiefs team was attacked and he managed to escape on the Pillar of Autum and they put in ramdom coorindinates and ended up infront of the ring that is Halo

well it looks like samus won so theres really no point in going on and on about whos got what powers. Though i am suprised MC lost. just proves seniority rules.

Yeah, but Dark, Samus' history is actually IN the games. The manuals, prologues, and mid-game sequences all form her story, not separate novels. The closest thing Samus has to a novel is the brief Super Metroid comic series, and the information that gave about Samus was directly from the game itself.

And I'm pretty sure that several pages back, we ruled out the written stuff, on the basis that the argument was about the video game characters.

yea i gotta give it to metroid (prime) there. The detail on the maps goes way beyond what halo has. I like the gameplay in halo a little more, but thats just me. mostly because you couldnt walk and aim freely at the same time like you could in halo.

Probably my favorite part of playing Echoes was reading the computers in the Pirate bases.
Like the one restricting feeding Metroids pet food. 😂

and general kaliero go look at my posts "i brought stuff from the book and showed what it represented in the game" so you can't really use that arguements against my points because all i did was to give a little backlog from the book storyline and showed where it was represented in the game to back it up so if you can be bothered (though i wouldn't blame you if you didn't) read through some of my posts on this topic

so ok it seems samus won the vote but we all know from the information being banded around this thread that master cheif would rock her world and box up her up and send her on her merry way to the galatic creamtorium.
