No one has set any rules, but I agree with the assessment that Chief is stronger. However, what good is strength if you don't know how to use it... though MC defintely does.

I'd love to see what kind of inconsistencies you can cook up for samus.. and perhaps to see if they're even nearly as bad as MC's

Taken directly from the Bungie website. I found it very interesting:

You failed to mention that he is surpassed by others. You failed to mention that his stunts has even his AI device in disbelief at the stupidity of them.

And I stand by my argument, even if Chief is stronger than Samus, that does him no good, since when he gets close she can screw attack.

...she screw attacks, he slices once with a Plasma sword, you have Samus in halves. I doubt she can maneuver while in the process of that attack 🙄

Also... Probability defying luck comes in ahndy 😛

While I gotta hand it to probability-defying luck, the fact that Bungie themselves said that Chief is "the epitome of none of those attributes" makes me scoff at the fans saying he can dodge bullets (which I discredited a few pages ago, but hey, who reads opposing arguments?) and lift indescribable amounts of weight with ease.

nope if you read the books the people who are better then have weaknesses in other areas...

MC is the all rounder of the spartans... Others are slightly faster, (but not as strong) Better shots (but not as good at hand to hand) .....etc.... MC is also the natural leader of them... He took charge and made sure the missions got completed...

But most of all hes got the "hero" factor or Exceptional luck... Other super heros have it... Bond being the greatest.... but in vs I don't come out with it...

He still beats SA though...

An energy sword would cause some problems, but it would not kill her in one hit. Depending on the difficulty mode and how direct the attack is, even Chief can survive that, and we agreed awhile ago that Chief's shields are pretty weak.

How is Chief getting all these weapons anyway? From what I've played of the game, he only gets projectile based weapons, he has to take the plasma/energy weapons off of dead aliens.

Seems to me we will never have an answer, as Samus supporters are set on Samus, and Chief supporters are set on Chief.

wow... we have been over this.... MC is faster then SA he will dodge that attack easy... I said the MC was chosen for his luck.. "hero" factor over the other spartans I don't talk about it as it a not a good point really...

SSBM isn't that good a cannon source.. She can be hit out of a ring in one punch... Mario is stronger then SA in SSBM... Are you saying Mario would beat SA in a fight???

that metroid site 'is' a fan 'site' but the information on there is 100% official unless otherwise stated a fanfic.. that includes the official nintendo comic books
