Should Children up to the age of10 be allowed to vote

i think yes becasue more and more children are learning more about the world.

They are also the future so i think yes they should be allowed to vote.

I mean most over 10 olds are actually more clever and more knowing then most Adults

Taxation without representation, people.

Kids under 16 have to pay taxes such as sales tax and taxes are deducted from their paychecks. Therefore they should also be represented.

Nope, IMO they're not mature enough to judge.
(well, some adults are not mature enough either but that's besides the point 😛 )

Dude I dont know if tex wil consider this politicial or not but you better watch it or you will get banned.

"laugh:..this is silly....no they shouldn't. The reason's are...well...pretty much obvious.

10? that's awfully young and don't know of other countries but at that age they don't give a rat's ass about politics

hey this is current news i am not talking polictical

this is not poltical

this is current events

Most 10 year olds are actually more clever and more knowing then most Adults? Is there anything written anywhere that can support that comment?

A child under the age of 16 is too immature to be given the right to vote. Most 16 year olds don't have jobs, they are students. Much like voting for student council and prom/homecoming king/queens...it would become a matter of who's more attractive, and not over who's more technically capable

Absolutely not, then people like carrot top and jim carey would be president.

😆

Barney the purple dinosaur for president!

People might say that children are too immature to vote responably, but they should remember that many adults can not be trusted to vote responably.

After all, almost the entire german nation supported hitler, and look what happened there.

Well, at least adults can go to sleep without wetting the bed, and can understand some of the words said by the poloticians running for office. Children would simply all pick whoever their friends were voting for.

I think it should be 16, personally. I want a voice in my country, and I know that I can understand these politicians; we 16 year olds aren't as dumb as most think 😎

I think 15 or 16 would be a better voting age, personally. Most kids I know have enough insight to be able to see right through these idiots.

You don't get banned for making a single political thread

And if that was meant to be a joke, well... It wasn't funny...

right now i am very much aware of the issues, i'm only 15, but i don't think i should have the right to vote. Majority of kids younger don't care, i'm not saying all but most. hell when i was ten i couldn't give a crap about politics. But then the younger generation can identify a phony when they see it, we tend to know whos lying or not, an who's being real.

There was another thread like this recently, and I said the same thing there: If anything, the voting age should probably be raised. It's amazing how age & experience change one's perspective.

On the other hand, seems to me that older people can tend to get fed up with politics and start paying less and less attention to the news... I can hardly say I blame them...

It depends upon what we're "voting on"....we vote here and no one cares what age we are....but as far as government elections go....voting is one of the few legal privileges reserved for adults....
