Why isn't anyone gay in HP?

Started by Saratn21 pages

i agree with zombieman. it makes you sound like a racist saying that having people who are gay in the hp books are wrong. their is nothing wrong with homosexuality. they are still humans aren't they?

I was reading this topic and saw this post:

"Well. . .also it would have nothing to do with the plot of the story. . it kinnda drives the story away from the plot"

And it made we wonder if everyone says homosexualism shouldn't matter and should be treated the same as normal male on female love how would it drive the story from the plot?If homosexuality were to be treated equal then wouldn't that mean hookups like Harry and Cho are driving it from the plot too?In a simpler way...if Cho and Harry aren't considered "icky" then why should a gay couple be?Wizards are normal people too with the same drama except theres more magic.People's love should be treated equal.I also don't see why JK should stop at really intense or dark moments just because children read the books too.It wouldn't be fair to teens or older people who are screaming for more action.I dunno...that's just my opinion on the subject. =/

It would be totally wrong to have it in the Harry Potter novels; whether anyone accepts it or not, it remains to this day a taboo subject and is considered by large majorities of people wrong. Distorting a novel such as Harry Potter for the sake of representing people equally would destroy a truly great set of stories.

Sirius and Lupin were gay... that is until Sirius bit the dust, and Tonks (being Sirius' relative) reminds Lupin of his former lover- which is Sirius. AHH, the irony! LOL~! Tonks seduced Lupin, and so Lupin had to get over Sirius, and thus he became straight. HAHA.

For all we know, several of the characters could be gay. Just think how many of the teachers in the series don't have partners.

Snape and Dumbledore WERE gay with each other, until Snape klilled him for cheating with Harry. Why do yall think Harry went with him to the cave!!

there aren't eny gays in HP because i think JK is against it.... think.. she whrites the book.. so it's her choice if ther should be gays or not in the book

If JKR is against gays then I just lost a lot of respect for her.

I doubt she is, but she's quite right not to put any in! They aren't treated equally, produce wildly different reactions than normal relationships, and as such would be driving the plot away from its primary purpose.

Probably because Homosexuals are a very small minority and the majority find there practices disgusting. No one will probably own up to it of course in fear of being politically incorrect.

Homosexuality is a sin, and unnatural. Hey Im politicaly incorrect sue me.

i think if she added gays in the book it would go down... alot of people in the world is against it so.....

Sirius Black & Professor Lupin are gay - Rowlins doesn't make a big deal about it: and neither should we.

The actors or the actual characters?

But yay, I'm bi and a huge slash (homoerotic) fan. They should have been more gay people

So why? It's not bad, just a thought. For example, Hermione could have a Will like Grace does, you know. It would be cool, I guess so.
What d'you think?

does Harry Potter need deviance?

Are you a homosexual by any chance? 😖hifty:

I'm confused...

What are the chances my two favourite characters are the two gay ones 😄

in what way is that wrong? all because their is homesexuality, doesn't mean the novel will be ruined. The actor of Gandalf, he's gay, yet people still think he did a great job in LOTR's...
