exactly...ive been here around a month MAYBE, ive contributed and made posts, but i have NEVER started a thread, and theres a real simple explanation....i read what other people say and get my answers there. Its like someone will start a thread asking if someone else has pics or new info.....NO if they get something new they will post it, thats one of the good things about this forum, people share stuff. PVS has said it enough, STOP POINTLESS THREADS!!!!! whew. that was long. alright. we know the basics now and lets try to cope. everyone who is anyone has read the thread but like PVS said, the newbs prolly wont care if the title of this thread isnt something like: NEW! PIC OF ANI NUDE! or something like that. you know its sad to say that the more bashing that happens the more noobs dont want to come back and the happier all of us old people are.

i find that the majority of newer members are happy with this forum.
you wanna know why you dont notice them? or better yet, why they are new
but seem to never piss anyone off? simple. because they are not attention
whores. they visit the forum, they post on threads, and when they have a cool
topic, they post a new thread. most of the people i see posting here are far newer than me, and i am a relatively new member...its safe to say that new members hold the majority of regular visitors, at least to SWIII.

its just a handfull of idiots that turn the word 'newbie' into an insult.
kinda like a couple of bad apples spoiling the bunch.
they is always the unsilent minority and they just wont stfu.

but we've already covered this topic. a NOOB is not necessarily a new person, being a newbie has nothing to do with how long they've been on the site. It has to do with their attitude and how well they've picked up on the "tone" and overall "vibe" of the site. they know how the site works, and find themselves asking the same stupid questions you used to ask when you first showed up here.

some have, and when they were informed they said
"oh, ok...my bad...wont happen again" rather than cry
"WAAAAAAAAA, YOU'RE ALL PICKING ON BECAUSE IM NEW"

there are new members and there are freaking idiots.

fraking idiots=newbs thats what i was getting at. fraking....ha! im not changing that. i know that there are some awesome new people here, i have many convos with them and covered many interesting topics. but the kids who pop up and say: "HEY CAN SOMEBODY PM THE TRAILER FOR EP. 3 PLEASE!" in the middle of a convo that has nothing to do with the trailer. thats annoying. by the by, your avator is MUCH better with the red effect thrown in there.

yeah, i see where both sides are coming from. i've been a member here for about a year. i don't have alot of post and haven't started any threads but i do come here daily to read the forums. i would understand how a new guy feels when he's got 5 to 6 individuals making posts and posting pics telling him his new thread is stupid and redundant. don't get me wrong there are some spammers out there, i just think we should ignore the thread and not post in it rather than feed the fire. alot these guys will go away if they feel they can't get a rise out of some. the mods are here and if they feel its stupid they can close it. it just seems like lately everyone here is trying to be in charge of something they have no control over. the only choice you have here is whether or not your going entertain someone's idea of a joke.

not when it a first offense.
first time posters are usually given some slack.
many here who shall remain nameless did it.
they posted a bum thread, they were then politely informed,
and they got the message and are still here today.

its the ones that do not listen, and just flat out dont give a shit,
that deserve the posted pics. the ones who feel the need to post
a new thread every day with no purpose other than to say "LOOK AT ME!!!",
or "GIMME GIMME!!! I DONT WANT TO SEARCH!!!."
the ones who ignore everyone who tries to tell them the deal.
they richly deserve it.

use the search option.
for example: if you want to make a thread about mace vs. anakin, type "mace " and "anakin" and set the search perameters to "episode III" and "thread title"
and *presto*. if nothing comes up, post it. if something comes up, check it out. if its unrelated, post it.
