ya know what, freedom of speech is a wonderful thing and although it may start out bad it could end up with positive after affects. I got in to it with Bilbofett, and we were doing it to each other, but in the midst of our argueing, we actually found a common ground and also found we agree on a lot of topics.
Whether anyone agrees with me or not on this, THIS thread is actually fueling the fire for a lot of people. They get so cought up as to why they flame and argue, and then that starts another arguement. We're focusing on the negitive. If you dont like being slammed or flamed, then dont add your two cents, and dont complain when you do get flamed.
Yes, we're all SW fans, and thats why we can all come here and compare notes and share ideas and thoughts, no matter how stupid they are, and then hear what others think. What might be stupid to one person , might be important to someone else.
I think the biggest complaint most people have on here, is the starting of pointless, useless, or duplicated threads. Luckily some of those stupid b*stards are no longer here for the most part (12345m for example). So really, is this thread necessary? If you dont like what goes on, dont visit, and dont delibrelatly piss someone off unless you can handle the consequences.
yea i said that....and i said it could have a positive after affect....hence me and her are cool now. but the whole point was, why have a thread making it worse? if you cant handle it, dont cause it. She can obviously handle it, as can I. But people are here just to ***** about bitching....kind of redundant, thats all my point was JP...am i ok now?
Its the posting of duplicate threads that really get to me. It can all be avoided if the newer members would use the search button. I know that JP is a big time advocate of this also. 9 times out of 10 the pointless or duplicated threads are started by a new member and 9 out of 10 of those are probably under the age of 15. there really should be some way to stop this or at least slow it down some.

Look, you're probably right- but!- although I've been reading many forums for more years than I can remember, it makes me feel really uneasy to think that just because I am 'recently registered', in the eyes of many I have 'nothing to say'. Way to get some new members with something to say!

Whoa, slow down buddy. Stop, take a deep breath, relax. You're on the Internet. Perhaps you should heed your own advice- if something on the Internet is getting you so worked up, then perhaps you need to go outside, take a deep breath of fresh air, take in some sunshine, and shut the **** up.
Now, I mean this all in the nicest way possible. But for shit's sake, you think I don't read descent forums? You ass. Now who's pulling shit out of thin air? You don't know me- and thank Christ you never will, cause you sound like you have a few deep-seeded emotional problems.
I hate to go on the offensive, because like I said, I'm on the Internet trying to just have some cool discussions with people that I would have ordinarily thought that outside of a forum I could actually get along with them enough to be their friend. There are some very cool, funny, and intelligent people here.
And yes, there are some people who seem to 'waste your time'.
But those people exist in real life too- a place I think that has begun to elude some of the people that frequent any board.
Look, as the spoiler season continues, and we get closer to the film, threads probably will move quickly and get pushed to Page 2. But that's fine, because in most cases something new has popped up anyway- and oh no, you're going to have to click [Page 2]. If a thread is meant to endure- it will. Because people will want to keep posting to it.
If not, then I don't mind it going to Page 10.

Yeah, My being an idiot is cool and I welcome some bashing here and there, but PVS calling me and others newbie's dumbasses is just not cool, It may just be me, but I am here on these forums to have fun, not get crapped on, ya know? Yeah my thread may have been dumb, okay, but ranting and raving about how bad it was wasn't. when crap threads are posted, its a buzzkill.
when you are here for a while, and you see any and all descent discussion get pushed back to page2 in a matter of hours, because of SPAM and not because of new and interesting topics, it just sucks.
there are plenty of new members here who get along fine because they dont make a point of spamming the crap out the forum with bum threads. so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE lay off the newbie vs. veterans drama, its really old, and really tired. i signed on in june and am relatively new. please take a moment to check my amount of posts and then review the amount of threads i created...then do the math. repeat this equation with other new members and you will soon sense a pattern.
to others, anyone feeling a dent in their ego needs to step back and question why they take shit so personal (you know who you are...so take your OWN advice).

Get a clue folks, redundant threads are annoying, period. No need to get nasty but if thats the road you wanna take there's a posse of us that have a little free time on our hands & can oblige you if you like. Well, it would be an example of an oxymoron in action, you are right about that. I guess I let my guard down. I would like to point out, however, that I did opt for the English spelling of 'arse' as opposed to 'ass', hoping to give it that adult 'whiff'. I would further like to point out, however, that I've never once supported the notion of redundant threads- well, except this one maybe. It obviously seems that there does exist some sort of problem with how people are treated on these boards. Why not have one thread to discuss, rationally, this issue? Although I am pretty spent on this topic...
