(This thread has lost some steam... I'm sorry that no one will pay attention to it. Even though it doesn't mean much now, I'm going to finish what I started a few months ago... sorry it took so long.)

Tom looked around for the next thing he could destroy. "When I'm done, there will be nothing left of the titans." The eerie, echoing voice shouted just before Tom's own fist crashed through his rib cage. "No! I will not let you destroy them! You may have taken control of my body, but my will is much stronger!" Tom's true voice said as he pulled his hand out of his chest and fell to the floor.

"I'm sorry I let you down like this..." Tom said to the ceiling, not sure if he could be heard. "I was possessed by their false promises during a moment of weakness..." Tom explained, hoping to be forgiven. "I'm sorry I won't be around to help you fix things up again..." Tom said in his final attempt to joke. "If any of you can hear me... Tell Angel... I lover her no matter what." Tom said as he exhaled the last of his breath and let himself sleep. moving on to another world. Tom died without regret, he knew the titan's would find out the truth behind the attack soon enough. But Tom also died, without the fond memories of family or friends. Tom had been left to struggle for everything he desired, and everything he desired had either been taken for the world or forgotten him. The time he had spent with the titans, Tom wouldn't trade for the world, he knew he had done many things to help the earth survive. But, if had been given the chance, Tom might have given up the fight if it meant he could feel the joy of love once more.

The tall young man who had been watching Kaze heard the tower burning in the distance and decided to investigate. "Somethings wrong." He told himself as he ran to the tower and looked for an entrance. He saw a hole in the wall of the top floor, where large flames were shooting out into the early evening sky. The young man jumped as hard as he could, putting his arms over his face to protect himself from the flame. Inside the burning building he found a single person lying on the floor and picked him up. He saw the blood gushing from the unconscious boy's chest and new he would need to find help. The young man jumped out the hole in the wall, landing as gently as he could on the ground below as he carried the unconscious boy in his arms. The young man put the unconscious boy down and managed to get a look at his face. "I don't believe it... Tom... what happened to you?" The young man asked, knowing he would not get a response. "You don't remember me... but my name is Kel... Kel Cristian... You saved my life a few months back... I had been wondering aimlessly for days without food or water... the curse had sent me back and forth across the Mojave desert." Kel said as he ripped off the sleeve of his shirt to use as a tourniquet. "You found me and gave me enough food and water to keep me alive until I could find my way out of the desert... I never had a chance to say thank you." Kel said as he watched the color fade from Tom's cheeks. Kel knew his tourniquet wasn't going to help, he didn't think Tom had even heard heard him speak. "You were a good kid... It's too bad we couldn't be friends." Kel said as he stood up and heaved a big sigh. "Poor kid... that's no way to go... especially not for someone so young." Kel said to himself as he looked around for a decent place to bury the fallen hero he stood next to.

Give Credit Where It's Due

Angel's feet gently walked down the titan tower. Her stomach was swelling, so much that it felt like she would fall over because of the loss of balance. Thankfully, her wings caught the air, preventing such things from happening. She was dazed, in a river of memories and a sea of regret. She slid her hand down her enlarged womb, closing her eyes as she felt the pulse of the young one inside her. When she opened them, she wasn't in the tower any longer.

She lay in his bed, the silken sheets glissened against the pale red lights of the lamp. The candles flickered, making shadows bounce and dance from the walls. She slid her hand over his chest, and in return he would kiss her lips. His mask was gone, revealing those beautiful eyes, and everything about him was gorgeous. She wanted to give him the entire world. But as he held her, she felt her wings pulsing with their sorrowful glow. Something told her then that this man wasn't her true love. Speedy hadn't been her true love at all. And when she had run he hadn't stopped her.

Opening her eyes, she found herself in another bedroom entirely. Silken sheets were replaced with a wonderful feathery-touch material. From what, she didn't know. It was so beautiful. The smells of him wafted into her nostrils. She could hear his heart beat beside her, taking her lustfully into his grasp and kissing down the tender skin of her neck. He hadn't been sweet. Not like Speedy. He had gotten what he wanted with force. One may call it rape, but she had enjoyed it. His eyes - a deep, blood red crimson, gazed down into hers. His lips curled to reveal a pair of fangs, and he nuzzled into her neck. Double-snakebites lined his lower lip, complete with several piercings and tattoos all over his body. ALL over his body... She traced one with a finger, and he took her hand, placing it upon him. With constant seduction he had cured her every desire. Except one...

Again she blinked. She was standing on the roof of the tower. Below her, the city roared into life. Yet, standing there with her hair flowing around her and her wings spread so freely to catch the ocean breeze, she felt so serene, so at peace. And with him, she felt completely relaxed, so full, so loved... His lips pressed to hers, and she melted into his warm kiss. Tom. Tom...

The tower gave a violent shake. She felt herself knocked off of her feet and fell to the ground. Around her, the walls trembled from the sudden wave. She forced herself to sit up, wincing and rubbing her elbow lightly. Luckily, the swelled abdomen hadn't been harmed. Her wings suddenly pulsed with darkness. She let out a wail of terror, clutching her hands to her head and ripping at her scalp. Tears fell from her eyes, something was wrong. Someone was hurt.

"TOM!"

She heard no answer. She ran to the doorway, pushing it open and opening her wings. She prepared to take flight when she remembered the weight wouldn't carry her. She held her stomach, looking around for her love. Tears blurred her vision. She wiped them away, but more returned. Where was he? Where was Tom?

Then, she saw him. His body was beside another's. The unfamiliar face was alive.. Tom ... Tom... She gasped in pain and disbelief. Tears ran down her cheeks, dripping from her chin and falling to the dirt below her. Her hand flew to her gaping mouth, and as she walked her body moved without her knowledge. She soon found herself on her knees before Tom's body. Pressing a hand to his head, she felt no soul. No life...

"Tom.. Please..."

Though she begged, his face remained the same. She gave no heed to the unfamiliar person beside her. Sobbing into his chest, she clutched the body close to her, tears running along his cold skin. Her wings fell limply to the earth, and she rested his chest near her swelling stomach, hoping the baby's heart might awaken him. She pushed his hair aside, closing her eyes as fresh droplets ran down her skin.

"I'm so sorry. You were always there. Right there in front of me and I... I'm sorry Tom. Please forgive me. Please..."

She stared into his eyes, her lips hovering over his as if expecting him to lean forward and kiss her. His head remained so limp in her hand, his neck having no strength left. She cupped his cheek, running her hands slowly down his face. She rested her head against his, clutching him close again.

"I love you, Tom. I love you so much. Don't leave me... I love you, please.. Please don't... Don't... Don't leave me alone..."

(Wow... You are way better at writing then I am... my heart is breaking for Angel and I'm not sure what I should do next... I feel that Tom deserves to be happy, but I can't just bring him back from the dead... I'll have to think of something really amazing, something wonderful to make Angel happy again.)

Kel stood and watched the winged girl cry for her lost love, having to look away and let a tear run down his cheek. In the short time Kel had known Tom, he had learned about everything Tom fought for. Kel remembered the detailed descriptions Tom gave him about his friends and the adventures they had. Kel remembered the person Tom spoke of the most was a beautiful, white winged girl named Angel. "This must be the girl... I wish there was something I could do... I never got a chance to pay Tom back." Kel thought as he wiped the tears from his eyes. Kel thought quietly for a second before he knelled down next to Angel. He tried to think of something to say, but nothing seemed right. "Tom was a great kid, sorry he's dead... no, that sounds all wrong... Tom was a true inspiration to others, sorry for your loss... that sounds stupid!" Kel though as he closed his eyes and sighed. "Tom loved you more then anything in the whole world... He was kind and understanding, I'm sure that you don't have to apologize for anything... because you have already been forgiven." Kel said before he took another deep breath and wiped away a tear. Kel looked at Angel and stood up, hoping he could think of something else he could do. "I have to go..." Kel said quietly as he took the pendent that Tom wore around his neck. "I will be back to return this." Kel said as he put the pendent in his pocket and started to walk away. "I'm going to find out how this happened... I will find out who killed your friend and bring them to justice." Kel told Angel solemnly as he turned and walked to the edge of the island. Kel took the pendent from his pocket inhaled its scent deeply, through the many different scents he was able to distinguish one clue, the smell of dry air and burning candles. "The Gothic cathedral on the other side of town." Kel thought to himself before he looked back at Angel and Tom. "I promise that I will repay my debt soon... then you and Angel can be at peace." Kel said silently as he jumped into the water and began to swim to the western edge of town.

*Beast Boy heard the screams and felt a violent shaking of the tower, which caused him to stumble out of his room and smash his head on the wall beside him. He winced and got up shaken, making his way towards the sounds.

He saw Angel, Tom's corpse, and a stranger standing nearby. He hid in the shadows until the stranger had dissapeared before he revealed himself. He did not know it, but the wound of his head started to bleed slowly, and a drop fell down his cheek. He wiped it away and watched Angel grieve for Tom. He wanted to do something, but nothing came to mind. He sighed and sat down against the wall and watched, hoping something would come to his mind soon.*

From seemingly out of nowhere, a shining, armor clad figure stood next to Beast Boy. "Truly a heart breaking scene... the loss of a friend is never an easy thing to witness." He said, his soft voice echoing slightly. "I can think of something you can do to help, Beast Boy... follow the stranger, he might lead you to something interesting." Said the shining figure in a familiar voice.

*Beast Boy looked up at the armor clad figure and nodded. He lifted himself up and walked outside the tower. Changing into a hawk, he flew high up into the air and followed the stranger as he swam underwater over to the west. Something about this man seemed familiar to Beast Boy.

Making his way closer to the dark figure underwater, he followed it's every movements while keeping pace with it.*

Kel pulled himself out of the water as he crawled onto the shore. As he caught his breath, Kel picked up the scent of the cathedral and began to run in its directon.

The armor clad figure watched as Beast Boy flew away, then he knelt down next to Angel. "It is difficult to say what is going to happen next... I am can not see what the future holds as others of my kind can... I do know that there are two possible ways this day can end. Either Beast Boy and Kel will succeed in bringing Tom's killers to justice... or they succeed in finishing off the Titans." He said ominously. "You need not worry, however, for I shall guide them as best I can... It is the least I can do after failing the mission I was given." He said as he stood up and and took of his helmet, to reveal long brown hair and deep green eyes. "I returned to watch over Tom as his spirit guide, but I was too late... His mind had been clouded by the people Beast Boy and Kel pursue." He said, his familiar voice confirming that he could none other then Sam somehow back from the dead. Sam put his helmet down next to Tom and disappeared, leaving so he could guide Beast Boy and Kel.

((is anybody robin))

*Beast Boy flew low to the ground and changed into a cougar, following Kel closely but out of sight. He stopped and took a sniff of the area. It smelled like rotting corpses and old candle wax. He must be near a cathedral. He continued to follow Kel silently through some trees. He needed information on who killed Tom and why.* "I swear..I will find who killed Tom, and bring them to justice!" *Beast Boy said to himself.*

(hrm....I'm thinking of joining again....I'm still wondering though....😊 )
