The tall man raised up his arms. "Let us show our new friend kindness." He said as the cloaked figures hurried to gather objects to offer to Beast Boy. A stout old man pushed Beast Boy into a chair and pushed a table toward him. The tall man stood next to Beast Boy and watched the cloaked figures. "We live and work here as an independent society. We do what we can to live in peace." The tall man said as he rested his hand on Beast Boy's shoulder. "Now that you are here you can join us in building a bigger society... but first, have your fill." He said as the cloaked figures set out a large spread of assorted foods.
Sam appeared in a chair next to Beast Boy, none of the cloaked figures could see him. "Don't trust a word he says... keep asking questions and eventually you will learn everything." Sam said as he disappeared again.
Kel was looking around the hallway he had found, there were no guards but several doors. "I can smell something... it smells like a feast." Kel said as he moved forward.
