Just saw the movie and LOVED it, probably going to see it again. Never read the book, but it was a breath of fresh air. Nice to see it shown that blowing up buildings doesn't mean you "hate freedom."

nicely said

I just wish ppl on TV and shit, would get over the whole "terroist" thing.

Thats's all they want to see in V. Terrorists want CAUSE hate. V wanted freedom.

I dont see anything wrong with what V did. People tell us to stand up for what we believe in, but when someone DOES they're considered to be a terrorist.

Any dumbass knows there was something wrong with that government, and they needed to be stopped.

Amen sister!

My friend has a word for the people who didn't like V for its supposed "terrorist statements"... she calls them "Republicans"... LOL!

Great movie, but completly different from the actual book. Still I loved the movie.

The general feel of the film was much lighter than that of the comic... but I think its a good thing, although it does leave the whole "non-justification" feeling towards V's acts... many people are turning towards the theory that he was the terrorist in the film and not the government.... when really we all know its the complete opposite.

As do I, if they followed the exact story I don't think it would have translated well into this media outlet. They changed some major moments in the stories, but I'm fine with it. Also yes I agree, and I feel the book actually portrayed that point far better than they did in the movie. However, the domino scene was far better in the movie than in the actual comic 😉

Oh yes! The domino scene took my breath away... I do feel sorry for the poor people that had to assemble them though, LOL!

Bah! it was worth it 🙂 I wonder how long it took to set up? Also which did you perform the ending of the book or movie? and which version of V's death did you perfer?

watched it yesterday. Cant say how it compares to the book as I havent read it, but it was a good movie nontheless....

Well the movie ending made me cry.... then again I cried 3 times during the damn film.... for Valerie, for poor Bollocks Girl... and then the end... it was beautiful....

I think I prefer the movie ending because it ties things up nice and sweetly... I mean there was now on need for Evey to put on the mask, V's intentions for freedom had been successfully fulfilled with the people of London, so the movie ending was okay by me.

As for V's death.... I felt it was not as drawn out as it should have been in the film... I mean I was awaiting him to tell her more, to tell her to give him a Viking's Funeral... I think that would have been better like in the comic... I am glad they handled the "who was he" part better in the film though and kept his identity a mystery.... although I never could set well with V and Evey's "love" in the film... kept thinking of the comic and how he could possibly be her dad.... but that's just me.

But as for his death missing something along the lines of text... I felt the same way with Delia's death... she's supposed to ask to see his face one last time and then he takes off his mask and she says "It's beautiful" then drops the rose and dies... they didn't do that and I think they should have, would have given the scene more meaning just like the Viking's Funeral with V.

I found myself sitting in the theater after her death saying to myself "No! She's supposed to be the last person to see his face, its a beautiful moment and you've ruined it! I'll forgive you though... just this once and because it's still early in the film!" and then they did it again with V... but the movie was till good... just wish they had left the little things in is all.

i cried in the damn DANCING SCENE. I swear, it was the music, and the tone of her voice.

I dont know, but i felt lame when my eyes watered. 🙄

Don't feel lame! It was a great movie and there were beautiful scenes worth crying over!

wow last saturday i saw the movie for the thrid tiem in theaters thats the last time I seen V untill the DVD comes out

I felt preety sad when V died.

I didnt theres not reason to feel sad he died doing what he wanted to do so I felt pritty happy that he died doing what he wanted to do it was his plan anyway

saw it last night and wooo loved it... it was something new and different and I think thats what the movies needed.. a A movie. V went out with a Bang and he gave the ppl in the UK a chance to change things to make it better.. Killing 80,000 ppl is not the way about trying to protect your country!

Technically.... V kinda didnt. If u think about it.

I did not feel sad that V died and his cause but just the way the scene was done.

Well everyone WAS him, thats what i meant by that part.

I wish it was still like the GN more 🙁

But as long as the movies doing well, im not too angry with it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUGO!!!
